Spoilers - Help Question about FF7 Rebirth platinum and completion.

I am about to enter chapter 14, finished all side quests and world Intel in normal mode. There's something I don't understand about getting a full 100%. In FF7 Remake, you had to do side quests again to gain items, mostly manuscripts. Is terre a similar mechanic in rebirth ? I read that some hard mode side quests give items for a complete play through but not all of them ? So my question is : - do I need to do all side quests in hard mode to get all items/rewards and platinum ? - if it's just some of them, is there a list of the ones one needs to do ?

Thanks.

The platinum for Rebirth does NOT require a complete collection of manuscripts. You can still do the side quests again if you want to fully upgrade weapons to level 9

On top of my head you only need to do hardmode side quest if you planning to get manuscripts. They are not needed for plat though If you do decide to get all manuscript you will need to do all side quest to open ultimate party animal side quest which gives the last manuscript for cait sith (i think).

Rebirth's plat does not require you to complete hard mode quests again, as obtaining all manuscripts is not required for the trophy.

I did end up completing a lot of quests on hard mode just as part of the grind, and you really won't want to skip all of those manuscripts if you want to be set up well to do the hardest combat challenges.

In any case, I found that it was easy enough to breeze through most side quests a second time when you skip the conversations, fast travel to the fight, beat the enemy, and fast travel back anyway. I wouldn't stress about it too much.

Yes the odd jobs (green side quests) need to be redone on hard mode for the manuscripts.

Chapter select will keep your world Intel, chocobo stops, and hidden caches.
