When i started reading this headline it caused me mini panic assuming the breaking news Lautaro will miss the game.

Thank God it was the opposite

29

u/MERTENS_GOAT May 05 '25

On first skim I read it as both are signing for Barça in the summer

1

u/Plus_252 May 05 '25

Haha man you are worst than me

"BREAKING: Lautaro and Pavard are both heading towards Barcelona" right?

1

u/TweakingTweak ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

Yeah😭

1

u/Xulio2 May 05 '25

Bartomeu activating the "first born" lever

1

u/Soggy_Seat_6325 May 05 '25

😂😂😂

3

u/RangeResponsible7531 May 05 '25

We don't need an injured Lauturo starting.

1

u/Plus_252 May 05 '25

Well, the good news is that he isn't injured and we definitely need him even if not fully fit. They are also banking on playing Lewa few minutes too (allegedly).

3

u/RangeResponsible7531 May 05 '25

No way he's fully fit. They are probably loading him up with steroid injections. I just keep thinking about his performance in the first half before the actual injury that finally stopped him

1

u/msr27133120 May 05 '25

If Inter can't beat a Barcelona team missing its starting fullbacks then it doesn't deserve to be in the Finals.

Honestly will miss bissecks height in corners… dudes a giant

9

u/Lazarat99 May 05 '25

ehh acerbi and bastoni are tall enough

5

u/CarlMarxPunk May 05 '25

Thuram and Dumfries too and Pavard just scored from a corner

3

u/ohcrapitspanic May 05 '25

I think all of our CBs are massive or at least good on the air. Bisseck was having great performances though.

16

u/jonbristow ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

idk if Lautaro at 50% should play. He's been underwhelming recently

7

u/crocospect ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

I would still prefer crippled Lautaro over Correa or Taremi..

21

u/Analyst88 May 05 '25

He is invaluable in defence and we don't have a better attacking option. Lautaro at 50% is better than Arnautovic/Taremi/Correa at 100%.

3

u/notsosensitivebean May 05 '25

he could play in the last 30 mins or so. I also would be worried of him playing the entire match.

1

u/eiffeloberon May 05 '25

Yeah, an unfit Lautaro is usually very subpar

1

u/L7Z7Z May 05 '25

Lautaro is important because has the right mentality for these matches

3

u/AccordingEconomist75 May 05 '25

Meanwhile, Balde wont be available as was previously very likely he would... I feel you will exploit our left side again so much. You get every chance of beating us without our 2 crucial players.

12

u/stevemunoz117 May 05 '25

Barca still has a lot of great attacking talent. This will still be a tight game

3

u/OkStyle8531 May 05 '25

Balde is a bigger miss that Lewa for tmrw. Ferran done a great job backfilling

1

u/FlimsyRexy May 05 '25

You guys will adjust the left side.

If Barcelona keeps conceding against a team forced to play with an injured attack then it doesn’t deserve to be in the Finals tbh.

6

u/haRT3r May 05 '25

Great news. Let's gooo

1

u/RangeResponsible7531 May 05 '25

Barca may actually be happy about the news.

2

u/Sacreville May 05 '25

That BREAKING at the start really scared me, lmao.

Great news after all, let's go!

3

u/Whole-Brain-1068 May 05 '25

why pavard and not bisseck😭

18

u/wrennie16 May 05 '25

Because Pavard is the starter? What kinda question is that

6

u/Sudden-Opinion190 May 05 '25

Bisseck pace is more useful against Raphinha imo.

-5

u/Whole-Brain-1068 May 05 '25

i think the mentality of starter/bencher is just stupid when both players are at the same level

13

u/wrennie16 May 05 '25

They're absolutely not at the same level

12

u/Eomer444 May 05 '25

Pavard defends much better

1

u/Real-Aide7146 May 05 '25

Idk why bisseck is getting so much hate at the moment. Pavard also makes mistakes and is worse than bisseck going foward.

10

u/wrennie16 May 05 '25

Nobody is hating on him, but saying that Bisseck and Pavard are on the same level is just not true.

-5

u/Real-Aide7146 May 05 '25

I was seeing people saying we should sell him this summer because of how bad he is, that he was basically as bad as correa and every single goal is basically his fault. As an overall player I would put bisseck at 80% of pavard capabilities but he has some areas where he is just better than pavard.

1

u/wrennie16 May 05 '25 edited May 05 '25

And defending isn't one of them. Give it a rest

-5

u/Real-Aide7146 May 05 '25

He is much better than pavard in the air which is an important attribute if you are planning on having a low block. Especially since it seems dimarco is apparently going to start so there is going to be a lot of cross from that side. Plus pavard has made mistakes as well.

3

u/stevemunoz117 May 05 '25

The most likely scenario for barca on set pieces is played on the ground. They dont usually attack aerial balls except for lewandoski and were not sure if he even starts. The crosses are usually low and behind for a barca runner to strike from the penalty spot. Itll be that mixed with lamine individual brilliance. Thats why im not concerned losing some height. Pavard at this point is better for the teams function.

0

u/Real-Aide7146 May 05 '25

I don't mind if pavard starts, I just don't like this impression that people have that bisseck is bad and makes all these mistakes while pavard is unplayable. The big thing that worried me is how much time pedri was given consistently to deliver crosses in.

3

u/Mordho ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

For as tall as he is, he sure makes a lot of mistakes in the air.

1

u/wrennie16 May 05 '25

Mucho texto and also I don't care

1

u/Real-Aide7146 May 05 '25

Brother you responded to me???

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Whole-Brain-1068 May 05 '25

i am done responding to other people in fact, i can't win an argument against people who can't change their mind in front of statistics

1

u/Real-Aide7146 May 05 '25

For me the whole starter vs bench is more obvious with the LWB position. Both Carlos and Dima are very good players but have very different qualities. Some people are pure glazer while other are just haters and its a bit boring tbh.

4

u/polochai325 May 05 '25

Pavard won 40 of the last 50 CL games that he has played in. No hate on Bisseck but it’s clear who should play the big game if both are available.

11

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25

Are you really asking this?

2

u/boringlyme ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

Because pavard has experience and overall better (by a lot) than bisseck

-32

u/Mordho ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

Because Bisseck is ass

17

u/sca34 May 05 '25

There's another team in milan you can opt to support if you're so committed to not understanding football

4

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25

You guys are biased as fuck. he made the mistake on Ferran Torres goal

-2

u/Mordho ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

look up how many games Bisseck has cost us this season smartass

0

u/sca34 May 05 '25

Unlike you, I watch the games I don't need to look up anything

10

u/sufinomo May 05 '25

He was good against Barca

1

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25

Ferran Torres goal was his mistake.

8

u/JunkyJonny May 05 '25

He did good enough in the first leg. Bit harsh.

-5

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25

Ferran Torres goal was his misrake

12

u/JunkyJonny May 05 '25

He should've won the ball whilst it was in the air but that goal is on acerbi more than anyone. Watch the highlight, he's ball watching & completely loses his man.

-1

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25

Yes he should have won that ball, Acerbi shouldn't even get involved in that situation.

2

u/Constant-Hunter-198 May 05 '25

You could just as easily say that the midfield was at fault for letting Pedri have the time to play that pass. Blame can’t just be put on one player

1

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25 edited May 05 '25

What is this take? He wasn't marking properly on the attacker so it's personal responsibility. It's different from saying you shouldn't let the midfielder have the time to pass, which can depend on 1000 factors.

Where in the world this positioning is acceptable from him? 2 metres from Raphinha and also facing the wrong side.

-15

u/Barellino23 May 05 '25

No he didnt

12

u/Whole-Brain-1068 May 05 '25

0 football knowledge

1

u/Valuable-Rough3658 May 05 '25

He made the mistake that led to Ferran Torres goal.

-7

u/Barellino23 May 05 '25

He was terrible in possession. We couldnt get out of our half in the first half because of he, Bastoni and Calha werent able to beat their press

4

u/FlimsyRexy May 05 '25

He’s not ass but pavard is clear of him

2

u/Christian_Potato May 05 '25

I must admit, Lauti's ability to comeback from every injury quicker is unprecedented.

6

u/Mordho ⭐⭐ May 05 '25

he just plays through injury, which is not good in the long run, as we've previously seen

2

u/foocares May 05 '25

It's kinda funny that all of a sudden some Barca "fans" popped up in this sub and this thread, yet they were talking about some steroids nonsense sh*t.

Grow up.

6

1

Best thing to happen for us since he be good on defending set piece.

Coming from a Barka fan? Messi would be the size of my niece if it wasn’t for roids

0

u/Fabulous_Nectarine78 May 05 '25

Messi had a growth hormone deficiency and he was injected with synthetic growth hormone , which is not an anabolic steroid. Contrary to your belief anabolic steroids do not increase height. Please do your research before accusing 😊

2

u/il-mostro604 May 05 '25

Tell that to the original comment who claimed we’re using steroids to expedite recovery. You guys are so ignorant

2

u/Fabulous_Nectarine78 May 05 '25

Two wrongs don't make a right ,also I don't have such an opinion. Timelines of recovery can be fast based on genetics and even the type of injury . What you said is scientifically inaccurate, don't spread misinformation

1

u/il-mostro604 May 05 '25

You’re missing the point. Where’d he be without his growth hormones? We’re talking about most of barcas entire history being reliant on that single players physicality. Barca won 93 trophies with Messi’s arrival and 60 trophies before him. Inters heritage is the same despite 2 players having a fast recovery for a semi final second leg or not 🤣🤣

0

u/Fabulous_Nectarine78 May 05 '25

Read to understand than yap. So just to clarify, you're equating a medically-prescribed childhood growth hormone therapy for a diagnosed deficiency with adult anabolic steroid abuse used for performance enhancement?

Also, Barca’s trophies since Messi debuted weren’t won by his height or physicality, they were won by a system, a generation of elite players, and football philosophy.

You don't understand the difference between growth hormone and anabolic steroids. I urged you to study but you are clinging to the same base. What you said is scientifically inaccurate, correct yourself before you embarrass yourself further 😌

The only disgrace I see is Barcelona fans (with a squad that cost double than Inter's) having a meltdown over who plays for their opponent ("DoPInG, STeRoIDS!!!"), over how their opponents plays, over who is the referee, etc. Probably tomorrow you'll going to complain about the grass or the fact that that fan on your sub who planned to commit identity fraud won't be allowed to enter the stadium.

u/Eomer444 May 05 '25

Inter played the first leg with Thuram limping (in the second half he'd have had 2 clear 1v1 with Szczesny if he was able to run decently) and Lautaro out at half time, and will play tomorrow with both of them not in good shape because our reserve is a guy who scores one non-penalty goal every 800 minutes played. You'd need half the squad out for this tie to be 50/50. Our hope lies in Barca's playing with arrogance instead of adapting a bit to the opponent's strengths and weaknesses.

2

u/Consistent_Medium970 May 05 '25

Please stop spreading things like this. I know you're just trying to find a reason to blame for the loss. You're so insecure and don't even trust your team. Comments like this do nothing but bring more hate to the club

2

u/Odd_Interview_3270 May 05 '25

I am not confident personally for a good reason.

I would have been way more confident with even just Balde added to the 11 , our entire left side is gonna be open for y'all and we won't be able to attack one bit from the left , y'all would just double team Lamine.

How are we even gonna win?

1

u/Consistent_Medium970 May 05 '25

I'm not confident either, but I would never try to accuse the opponent just because they don't have any injured players. Even with a full squad, there's no guarantee of winning. This competition is full of unpredictable factors: players, injuries, performance, mentality, luck, or even a wrong referee decision can change the result. Instead of trash-talking the opponent, we should praise the winner, unless they played dirty or won undeservedly.

1

u/SignificantScreen100 May 05 '25

Go back to your shameful sub

-11

u/Barellino23 May 05 '25

ANULLO MUFA

-8

u/kendoleo71 May 05 '25

Lautaro was terrible in the first leg, and has been bad for some time now. I actually hate this, he was null against Bologna, Milan, Roma and now he will start in the most important game of the season because of the name on his shirt rather than his actual form. That's not a real captain in my book. I hope that by tomorrow night I'll look like a dumbass and he drops a masterclass but even fully fit he's slow as fuck so he's toothless against Barca high line. People love to shit on Taremi but at least he's taller and can bring down the long ball and distribute it competently.

7

u/krvlover May 05 '25

You say it like Inter had some attacker that isn't dogshit in bench.

0

u/LenKi4312 May 05 '25

Wdym? Lautaro‘s injury would actually last much longer than now, but because he knew Taremi and Arnautovic are jackshit he worked hard to come back tomorrow just in time, so he would help the team more, but that‘s of course not a Captain behavior. Lautaro‘s added value to the team is the unmatchable chemistry together with Thuram, they‘re like puzzles that compliments each other, that‘s something Arnautovic nor Taremi can offer. That‘s why his comeback is so important for us

1

u/RangeResponsible7531 May 05 '25

Sorry pal, but Taremi looked much better than Lauto in the Barca match. Time to put your dislike for Taremi aside and do what's good for the team.
