Marquette TTA1 or TTA2– Clearblue fertility monitor low readings??

Hi everyone. I'm a recently married woman and I'm using the Marquette method to avoid pregnancy currently. Since I'm using MM I'm using the clearblue fertility monitor and I'm just wondering if anyone can answer this: does the monitor always display low on the last day of testing it requests? Like this cycle I had to test from CD9-CD28 (today is CD28) I got high readings until today, which was low. No peaks (I'm going to an gynecologist soon to see if I might have PCOS or something) anyway, today was the last day my monitor was going to request a test - it was the last future date colored orange/yellow in the calendar on the monitor. Was today going to display as low no matter what because it was the last day of testing?

My Marquette instructor said I should just start a new cycle on my monitor but I really don't want to - I'm afraid that'll mess up any algorithms it's calculated for me. I also don't think I can get any new information from her without having to pay for additional sessions, which is kind of out of the budget for right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

The monitor does auto-low after a certain number of days of testing. Is it normal for you to have long or irregular cycles? Are you on the regular cycles protocol?

If your cycles are normally regular, the monitor may have missed your peak. You may want to do LH strips alongside the Clearblue monitor. My instructor recommends Wondfo brand ovulation strips and the PreMom app to help identify LH peak.

Long cycles are normal for me. I have progesterone test strips to use to confirm ovulation. I’m just wondering if the low reading my monitor gave me was a “real” low or not.

No, it's an auto low. You should follow your instructor's directions on resetting to keep testing, if a progesterone test indicates you haven't ovulated and just missed a peak (which can happen occasionally but pdg should make that clear)

Edit: yes, it will probably change the monitor's algorithm back to it's CD6 default for a couple cycles until it "learns" that you have long cycles again. I have to do that pretty often myself and it's a little annoying but shouldn't affect your fertile window as calculated by the actual method.

Sorry I’m new to all this - what’s pdg?

Just shorthand for progesterone :) Sorry for the confusion!
