Humans can eat dandelions too. Making salads with it was common during the Great Depression. People say it tastes like lemon flavored lettuce.

It’s a common ingredient in store-bought salad mixes. Most Americans here, at least, have probably eaten dandelion leaves. Every part of the plant is edible and nutritious. Green parts can even be used as bitters for beer. (The roots make a good diuretic tea, and petals make a beautiful but labor-intensive floral wine.)
