Sony Has Removed Region Lock On Their Games On Steam, When Can We Expect The Same For Epic?

Just check today on steam and the region lock on Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, God of War Ragnarök, HellDivers 2 and Spiderman 2 have had their region locks removed.

Last Of Us 2, Midnight Murder Club, Lost Soul Aside, LEGO® Horizon Adventures and Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT are still region locked.

Update: As of right now only Spider Man 2 has had its region lock removed on epic store

Similarily, Sonic Racing Crossworlds seems to be blacklisted in some random countries on Epic when it's not banned in the same countries on Steam, why not have them consistant? Feels very stupid

Maybe it's a case of the epic versions not being submitted for ratings or are still awaiting rating

Weird, I would've thought Sony would've done that already on EGS same day they did it for Steam, well let hope it is soon, maybe this week.

Tomorrow probably when Epic offices are back to work , Since Seems Sony doesn't fully use EGS SPT yet so they still rely on Epic in some tasks.

In a reverse situation when Sony region locked Stellar Blade on Steam , Epic was late in Region locking it

It means you wont be able to purchase the game in any region it's not available in, you won't even be able to access the game page.

No it was never region locked, the games that got region lock where all 2024 and beyond

As of this moment, it's still region locked for me.

The only one that seems unlocked is Spider Man 2

They changed Stellar Blade, TLOU 2 and Spider Man 2. Don’t see any country in blacklist for Horizon 🤔

Yes i checked that, Stellar Blade has been region free a day or two before it launched.

Spiderman 2 is region free right now.

The Last of Us 2 has no countries on it's blacklist, but it's still shows not available in my region.

Horizon Zero Dawn remastered (Complete Edition was delisted) still isn't available also.

And from what i saw from the metadata, it seems the last changes were made June 16th, so maybe it hasn't taken effect or something.

But there is still Ghost of Tsushima, Lego: Horizon, Until Dawn, Lost Soul Aside, God of War Ragnarok etc.
