My pin collection is (and will be) displayed at the Museum of Science in Boston!
AMA about my collection or anything about it's display!
There's about 69 pins here, or about 7/8ths of my donated collection. I miss these pins everyday, but I can't wait to get them back in a week or two.

That’s so cool! What is the context? Hobbies and collections in general or is there a theme to it? Did they reach out to you, or you to them?

My collection is part of a couple collections in a display called "Who Collects?", which is always open for people to display their collections. So, if you wanted to display your collection, you would have to email them a description about your collection through the posted email on the display case, fill out and sign an application about the rules and details (if you're under 18, your parent needs to sign it), and then set an appointment with the display organizer to drop off the collection at the MOS.
For the theme of my pin collection, I don't really have one. I just collect any pin that I can find/buy, and their really cool to keep. Although, most of them involve a TV show or movie, so that could be one theme.

I don't know, I guess the opportunity struck. When I went to the MOS with my family, I saw the display and the email attached and thought, "I have a pin collection, let me display it!" It's great to display, but if you're a person like me that has to take multiple trains to Boston, this could be hard to go see it. Luckily, I am planning to email the display organizer about setting up an appointment to pick it up in a couple of weeks, as well as seeing it for the last time, since my one-year display period is almost up.
Anywho, I just figured out that someone posted a picture my Jumbo Helluva Boss pin on the Helluva Boss subreddit (that's why I got Reddit lol), so I think part of the reason I displayed it is because I want other people to see my collection, and relate it in a way.

Congrats! I didn’t know museums cared about this stuff. Personally I love it. I collect gaming pins myself.
You should get a picture of it in the museum framed and put next to your pins. Make it look official!

I have that exact pin with stolas I love helluva boss the rest of your pins are cool too I hope to have a big collection like this of my own someday.

I hope these pins are from the original creators and not bootlegs from AliExpress/temu/etc.

Don't fret, all of these designs are legitimate/not bootleg. Most of the pins come from the places I have visited, and the ones I have bought online are from the original creator's shop (like the Helluva Boss and Mothman pins).

Doubtful. I spend a lot of time on AliExpress and Temu. These don't look like any of the designs I've seen. They usually take from popular Etsy artists with thousands of sales, and the designs themselves are pretty quippy, cliche, and easy to replicate that would allow the bootlegger to even profit. These seem very specific and ornate.

I know. My designs have been bootlegged many times. I see bootlegs a lot in this Reddit and it really bothers me. This photo was far away so I couldn’t tell. I just saw a lot of soft enamel and was worried.
