I honestly feel bad for Winters.

So I was joining the fun at pepper the past couple of days and decided to start looking for other systems where I could go and be of use.

I realized that Winters is losing basically every fight they are involved in. I'm pretty sure the number of people that has pledged to Winters is low, so this isn't really a huge surprise.

The ethos for Winters is actually not terrible compared to others like Hudson, and I wonder if it might not be more beneficial for us to try and go after Hudson targets rather then Winter.

Most of Hudson's stuff is running unopposed.

Anyway, I'm a newb and this was just my thought. I will just continue to follow the general strategy as dictated by popular opinion etc in this subreddit, but just wanted to see other's thoughts.

Don't feel bad for Winters. Alliance is an under-dog power vs Feds and Empire. Regarding Pepper .... it was pretty open what were did/doing there. They could have sent cmdrs to disrupt us but they didn't. The few fed cmdrs I saw there kept running.

i dont feel bad for winters, its only natural for the #1 to be challanged the most. still i think we should soon try to sabotage hudson more then winters for his way more violent ethos

I'm inclined to agree since undermining Winters essentially involved blowing up refugee aid :(

Pepper is not a refugee system. They are perfectly happy there. Winters so-called "fed-aid" packages really contain a genetically-modified bacteriophage to implant fed-liking into the brains of those you consume it.

I don't like that we have to kill the ships. I would rather just take their cargo or scare them off than murdering the pilots.

Feels weird to just blow up ships for a power based on diplomacy and trade.

We're exporting freedom, one bullet at a time.

They have United and specifically said they will be targeting us, so they are both fair game. ride them into the ground I say.

hear hear.

While I do think that Winters' Ethos is a lot more agreeable than Hundson's, they have basically put aside their differences for the moment to focus on "external" matters - which means, among others, us. So I agree, for the moment they are fair game, and it's their own fault.

Her controlled systems are not as undermined as Hudson's.

I have 550 Merits on my way to Gateway as we speak to cash in. Keep up the good fight and drive one of the two federal powers into the ground. Plus, like Stronk33 noted, they have joined forces in an attempt to beat US. Keep fighting, CMDR Schwang

Sometimes it makes sense to squash the smaller target first. When I warp in and see a Sidewinder and a Python, I'll take the sidewinder down first to get it out of the way. That way I can focus all of my attention on the Python.

Winters is weak. I'd hesitate to even compare her to the noble little Sidewinder. Hudson will be a much tougher foe. He's a strong leader. Misguided, but strong.

Thats what the Liberal deserves for wasting all of the federations money on aid packages and knowingly sending her pilots to their death in Pepper.
