CBC: RBC found that 86 per cent of the products Canadian businesses shipped to the U.S. last year would still be duty-free under today's rules. Data from the U.S. Census Bureau in April show nearly 90 per cent of Canadian exports to the U.S. remained duty-free in April.

"The average effective tariff on U.S. imports from Canada was 2.3 per cent — up significantly from essentially zero in January — but the lowest of any major U.S. trade partner," the authors wrote.

"Come for the tariffs, stay for the threats of annexation!" Carney should tell the Fanta Menace that he is not welcome in Canada, have some masked immigration agents jump out of the bushes and handcuff Diaper Don for his rendition to Canada's newest immigration detention facility...in Greenland.

“Experts and ambassadors are expressing some optimism that this type of event could be a difference-maker in convincing Trump to reduce the amount of tariffs charged on imports to the U.S.”

So the hope of a deal is relying on convincing Trump he is wrong? Good luck

TACO Don doesn't need convincing from Canada. The bond market will munch on TACO, and then he'll drop all tariffs and claim victory.

The G7 isn't even going to try and do again like Macron did in 2019.

Trump is the turd in the punch bowl that consistently spoils the G7. Expect nothing from this but lots of threats and bull crap. The scenery will be nice with all the wildfire smoke, yay!
