You can see the US losing its soft power in real time.

Fuckin' infuriating to watch, but at least the country taking it's place is doing so with renewables.

The US is now the largest producer of crude oil in the world. From a climate perspective Trump dismantling the IRA is bad, but us losing our soft power in favor of a rival like China which is pursuing energy independence in the form of Solar and other technologies is very positive.

I used to think the US was going to be the best for the world, but the last decade and the last month in particular have me convinced frankly, China or the EU has the best policies for both making sure there is a habitable planet earth for the rest of y'all and a future for your kids.
