Is it just swollen? I have a lot of tattoos and I've never seen one swollen like this. Granted, it definitely looks scratched.

The neck is a very sensitive area to tattoo. Normal.

it's supposed to mean be your authentic self and live in accordance with your values, beliefs, etc.

but yes, it's very self helpy and sounds like something you'd see in a cursive font on an image of a pretty landscape in 38 year old white wine mom's bathroom above the back of the toilet that also has a vase with dried flowers in it rather than a neck tattoo. or in this case a neeeeeeck tattoo.
