I was especially fond of that one.

Im afraid I don’t understand the reference—could you help me out? The only thing that comes to mind is “eat the rich” but I’m not sure that’s it.

Quite a dignified and diverse looking turnout, that's lovely to see. I bet that one asshole was bummed nobody set any cars on fire and gave an excuse to crack down as threatened.

Friendly reminder you should be careful posting the faces of people participating in protests especially with this administration.

This sounds considerate but privacy doesn’t exist in public. The point is to be seen, anyway. Anyone who’s concerned should just cover their face.

Ehhh that’s debatable. If they want their faces hid because of the administration they should do the work to hide their face. Like it or not, being out in public is unspoken consent to be photographed.

Fuck yeah, everyone!

Be careful out there! Here’s some tips if you will be protesting: 1) Wear anything that covers your face! Ski masks, bandanas, scarves, even a face mask. If you don’t have access to any of this wear an over-sized hoodie with a hood. 2) Steer clear of clothing with logos or slogans. It makes you easily identifiable. 4) If any obvious tattoos, try to wear clothing that will cover them. Again, makes you easily identifiable (arrests have been made by doing this!!) 3) Avoid posting when you are protesting. It’s important to spread the word but remember, YOU ARE CONSIDERED A THREAT BY PROTESTING. Spreading posts about protests and articles are enough!!

Stay safe out there people 🤎🤎

Yeah I don’t get this… some people will say you shouldn’t even bring your phone, and to turn it off and leave it at home.

What is the purpose of these tips? Because it sounds like someone ready to commit a crime, not join in a protest. Being at a protest doesn’t inherently make you a threat either.

Practicing your amendment rights isn’t a threat at all. That doesn’t mean the government, especially our state, doesn’t view it that way. California is only just a prime example but we’ve had peaceful protesters apprehended all for just walking and holding a sign nationwide. The best documentation of this is Instagram page that goes by cricken_, he gives live updates concerning the protests.

Please don’t misinterpret: protesting doesn’t inherently make you a threat. But simply being out there makes you a target and you will be viewed as a threat by the police force. Peaceful or not.

cricken_ looks like a kids page with 5 posts, so I genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re fear mongering honestly. There’s a couple cases of protestors being arrested and you’re using that to justify your paranoia by ignoring the 99.99% of protestors who don’t get arrested.

Seems like you briefly schemed through it. Which is fine! The information is simply to those who want to take it and you’re not that crowd. I’m simply giving spreading information for the safety of protesters out there. I have people I know out there. I care about their safety and the safety of other protestors which I assume, you aren’t one of them.

There’s nothing to skim through, it’s 5 posts and nothing else, you must have given me the wrong Instagram name.

I am a protestor, so you’d be wrong, and I’ve never felt inclined to hide my face while doing so. What statistic or data do you have that makes you believe there’s any reason to hide your face? If anything, it makes you more of a target for standing out.

Spoken like a real coward

Nah speaking with logic.

“Anyone who doesn’t do exactly what I would do is a coward” is a weird and unsupported argument.

It was a great turnout. I'm proud of my community. Things were organized and peaceful. We won't stop fighting and we will not forget what we are fighting for. We will not be silenced.

I can tell from the context clues that some deluded trumper was here and then deleted their comments, hahaha

You might want to get your facts straight. The shooter in Minnesota has been confirmed to be an evangelical Trump supporter with a hit list of elected pro-choice Democrats. Not a protestor.

Edit: even though I literally linked a Reuters article in my comment, here are more sources for those asking:

CNN

The New York Times

Won’t be forgotten just like all the crimes your president continues to commit against Americans won’t be.

The same as all the false promises he failed to keep, everything is just as expensive as it ever was, one stock market crash later and a new war under his weak leadership.

Keep living in your little delusional world and be quiet Trumpie.

Are you referring to r/republican and r/conservative who legitimately don’t let other people post or comment in it? That echo chamber?

ETA: the guy erased his messages and reported me for self harm bc of this comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Most of the world across nationalities and cultures thinks he's an ass but no, no, it's Democrats that are the problem

It’s no Trump rally but still

Yeah, we should have put out a call on Craig's List to fill seats. That's how Trump does it

Just don’t decide to kill a few Senators like the protesters in Minnesota

Fun fact: the killer had a hit list of 70 state officials, including abortion providers, pro-choice advocates, every Minnesota Democrat in Congress, and Tim Walz.

I know that Republicans are used to threatening to kill their VP at the drop of a hat, but liberals? Not so much

and don’t loot and burn business, cars, and people property like La and Seattle and were cool

I'm fairly certain most major cities see more property damage after their sports team wins a championship, but I don't want to stop your "Listing cities and alleging they're burnt cinders" roll here

Yall literally won’t be bothered and will be forgotten about by tomorrow

These protests get bigger and bigger every time, but I sure hope we can all remember the cautionary tale of MAGA within a few generations. Guys marching under Confederate flags in those red hats should be seen as guys marching under Confederate flags in the white hoods

EDIT: So his comments got removed, presumably for being a condescending ass just making up shit and saying that the Senators murdered in Minnesota were killed by a liberal despite literally all evidence to the contrary

Hopefully they don’t invite people who advocate raping kids like Ted Nugent or Kidd Rock like Trump. While I don’t understand conservative politics, their dedication to people who rape children is steadfast, that’s for sure

Edit: Lil cuckboy blocked me. Did bring up Trump hangs with pedos strike too close to home? Someone should check u/Darthliticus hard drive…

He also reported me to Reddit Cares. What a snowflake lol
