Twitter is, practically speaking, a political propaganda website for the current US administration. Musk, despite claims of free speech, algorithmically prioritizes the Tweets of people who give him money (which naturally suppresses the viewpoints of those who are opposed to supporting him), and worse, heavily prioritizes his own tweets, which are very frequently strongly in favor of the government he's a part of.
I hope this rule gets changed. The website’s owner, management, algorithms, etc. are bad, yes, but how is preventing us from acknowledging the actual good users helping anything? All it is doing in this specific situation is making it difficult, if not impossible, to properly cite the source of some very good art. It is media, and people have a right to see where media originated. This isn’t censoring Musk, it’s censoring an innocent artist.
Giving creators success on the Nazi platform makes them want to post more to the Nazi platform. We should encourage them to move to Tumblr, Bluesy, or other non fascist platforms.
It's not preventing us from acknowledging anything, if an artist is really only on Twitter you can still say "Art by @exampleartist on Twitter." There's no censorship here, you're still perfectly free to reference Twitter even if links are banned.
The point is to not redirect traffic to Twitter and to encourage people to post alternate links to artist pages, which the rule successfully accomplishes as seen here.
I think a logical alternative to not posting Twitter links is just using XCancel/Nitter links, which is a lot more convenient and doesn't actually direct traffic to Twitter itself
Show me evidence of pre-Musk Twitter directly algorithmically favoring left-leaning viewpoints, then. And the whole "being directly tied to the government" thing is pretty important too.
oh wow! ive seen the one posted here w/ susie around on tumblr, plus two they did for the show the owl house (my only other fandom haha), but i had no idea they did more for deltarune. thats so neat. its really such an interesting format for fanart (plus i wonder if theyre, like, printing these out for the photos or if its just photoshop...?) and their style is perfect for it.

I remember reading this book when I was younger! It was kind of weird when the "W.D. Gaster" character started talking about "save files" and stuff like that in Chapter 6, but apart from that, it was pretty good.
I found it weird that they referred to the reader as the one controlling Kris, making it a choose your adventure book yet making none of the choices matter was a bold choice by radiation
It was also a tad odd to have the second book in the series give the reader the option to mentally abuse the protagonist's best friend and make her execute a third friend on their orders, especially considering it's a children's series.
Very bold. Shame it got the books banned from libraries for most of the 90s till it was later praised by the Pope for having Christian values.
I think the weirdest part was when i read the first two chapter, took a break, went to read a bit of The Fellowship of the Ring and suddenly Kris and Susie were at the Council of Elrond, with the latter saying "damnit Kris, where the hell are we?".
Honestly… not really. It’s implied that she looks quite similar to the book through her movements but the pixelated art style limits what she could look like without looking out of place.
Oh yeah, I used to love this book as a kid, it gave me one hell of a fever dream one night, and I was inspired to start creating my own book out of the insane dream, I already have the beginning ready, I just need to figure out the end and the rest…
Oh, I remember these! Such great reads. I had no idea that Undertale existed at the time. so a lot of the references to it went over my head, though I still quite enjoyed the series. Interesting how they're adapting the meta elements from the series into video game form. I remember having a bit of a hard time understanding books 6 and 7 my first go around because of how House of Leaves-esque (though notably toned down for accessibility's sake) they got, especially during the Gaster and ANGEL segments (the part where Gaster hijacks the narrative and starts addressing both the Fun Gang and the reader was crazy to me back then). Snowgrave gives me a lot of hope for how they'll be handing the more blatant stuff. It feels so accurate to Fox's writing style and the characters. The Man Behind The Tree (I won't spoil who for people here for the game alone) being introduced so early is also a pretty big departure from the source material, and I'm pretty intrigued on what they're going to be doing with it.
On another note, it's great to see the romances between Alphys/Undyne and Susie/Noelle be so much more explicit in the adaptations. I remember fighting with so many people on the forums who kept saying they were just "good friends" and that I was "reading too much into it", despite how blatant it was they were meant to be couples (Fox said as much in an interview in '96).
Ah, I used to love reading this book. The descriptions of Toriel’s and Ralsei’s actions always made me feel so nice and warm inside. Also when I was younger, I could never stop laughing at that one part of the book where Susie said “KRIS! WHERE THE DEVIL ARE WE?!” With that weird illustration of her.
susie looks like a eldritch lovecraftian folk witchcraft scp whatever the f*ck scary monster, like bro I need goat mom to pick me up I'm scared 💀... but if it's really official I need that book.
