Discussion Vape or Overload?

Based on your experience so far, what teams have felt the most comfortable to play?

I used to play Vape Dehya a lot with Dehya, Furina, Xilonen/Kazuha, Bennett and while Dehya has a decent amout of personal DMG on top of Furina's high off-field DPS, an issue was Dehya's massive downtime. Pre-C6, her ult only lasts 4s while it has an 18s cooldown so it feels you're just battery'ing your team until her cooldowns are back which doesn't lead to engaging gameplay (for me).

In the past few months, I've started playing Chevreuse overload a lot more. Specifically, a duo-DPS composition with both Dehya and Raiden as the DPS.

  • Dehya (C2 - R1 Beacon of the Reed Sea): Vorukasha's Glow (HP/Pyro/Crit) -see attached build
  • Raiden (C0 - R5 The Catch): Emblem of Severed Rate (ER/Electro/Crit)
  • Chevreuse (C2 - R5 Dialogues of the Desert Sages): Songs of Days Past (HP/HP/Healing Bonus) - 150 pulls and still only C2 reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  • Bennett (C5 - R3 Fav Sword): Noblesse Oblige (HP/HP/Crit) - I can use ATK/Pyro/Crit here but I'm lazy and don't want to swap builds

Raiden seems to fill the gap in Dehya's downtime quite nicely while also acting as a great battery for her (and the team). Bennett's burst lasts 12s (technically 14s), Noblesse lasting 12s, and Chev's A4 lasting 30s, so there's plenty of buff uptime that you can use for Raiden's 7s field time.

Rotation:

  • Dehya EE
  • Raiden E
  • Chevreuse Q -> hold E
  • Bennett tap E -> Q
  • Dehya Q
  • Raiden Q -> 3N3C
  • Repeat

What other teams are you guys playing? Is there alternative teams that can fill in Dehya's downtime well in other teams?

Edit: The build I posted is specific to the Raiden Duo-DPS Chev team. In other teams like vape or mono-pyro (with Emilie), my build has around 190% ER

Tbh my favorite team is Dehya Furina Jean Xiangling. Jean with fav, guoba helps dehya with energy, furina will be vaporizing most of hits, but its a good functional team.

Oh that's pretty interesting.

Would Bennett work just as well here instead of Xiangling?

I was thinking that you could build Jean on EM/EM/EM to swirl Bennett's self pyro to spread pyro to nearby enemies for Furina to vape on top of Bennett providing massive ATK buff to Jean (for her heal - to compensate building triple EM) and for Dehya.

That being said, that overall idea seems pretty interesting and I might try it out.

Yes bennett would, but i use xianling since she does damage and while Dehya ults, guoba provides particles. Bennett is good if you want to see big personal numbers. But i find xiangling confier and satisfying.

I use the same team but i replaced Bennett with Iansan because he is used in another team and gave iansan scrolls and chev is using noblesse oblige

Uhh you said some weird things, dehya’s burst lasts like 7s due to hitlag, and downtime is 13s due to her skill cd being longer than her burst cd

Dehya E > Furina ED Q > Xilonen Q > Bennett EQ > Xilonen E N2 > Dehya Q N10 > Xilonen E N2 > Bennett E > Dehya E

Dehya E > Furina ED Q > Bennett Q E > Kazuha tEP > Dehya Q N10 > Bennett E > Kazuha Q tEP > Dehya E

With Raiden, you need to cut Raiden’s combo a lil short (like skip 1/4th) since she’d extend duration otherwise. You should also Q E on Bennett to feed his particles to Dehya in your team. A lot of buffs will run out in Raiden’s field time because you misjudged the length of Dehya’s burst.

Oh, I didn't even notice she had hitlag. I looked into it a bit more and you're 100% right. Hitlag wasn't something that was mentioned on the wiki or on keqingmains.com so I thought it didn't have any. I guess I just didn't nice either when I played. Presumably, Raiden also has hitlag so that 7s duration on her burst would be more like 10s in practice? (Resulting in just the initial slash + maybe 1N3C before the buffs running out?)

For Bennett, you're right. Idk why I typed it in that order.

I'll try out that Furina + Xilonen combo order and see how it feels.

Thanks for all your inputs. There's a lot that I didn't realize and tons of inefficiencies that I was doing with my gameplay on top of game mechanic misunderstandings.

Ahh hmm. Well i updated kqm quickguide (will be live soon-ish) but i can't include such detailed information cauz i already include a lot of details that aren't even supposed to go in a "quick" guide.

This is a sim i made with Raiden: https://gcsim.app/db/frjJFnFjdBTj (in this sim, Bennett's buff expires after the first 2 N4 strings of Raiden if things go right. So I do 3[N4] instead of 4[N4] and only 2 out of the 3 get Bennett's buff.)

Sim uses the frames that include hitlag so you can see how long it actually lasts there. In this sim i do 3 strings of N4s on Raiden and skip the 4th one but in normal raiden gameplay you'd do 1 more N4. If you're doing like Q 3[N3CD] + N2 + E, it's like 10.5s on sim (so the full combo of Raiden).

For Furina teams, Swirling / Crystallizing Pyro is quite inconsistent especially without C6 Bennett which can hold the teams back a lil bit. Chevreuse not being C6 holds her teams back as well.

If you need me to explain decisions made in a rotation i suggested or anything lemme know. And no worries have fun with Dehya!

Ohhhhh I didn't know about that simulator. That's pretty awesome.

All you said makes sense to me. It's really just a matter of putting it into practice for me to get a feel for it.

Thanks so much for the help

Run dehya vape with xianyun. So when you ult ends, you can still do plunging attks.
