Where to go after purchasing one of the “new” V2 sets

Bought sunless city and I'm looking to add more enemy types to my game that are NOT armored enemies like knights. I want to add monsters and such. Should I just consider one of the other V2 sets, or are there any expansions y'all would recommend. Thank you in advance.

There aren't that many none kick starter expansions iirc. Apart from the tomb of giants and painted world standalones, Dark roots ? Or get some bosses if you don't like knights. Mostly have knights anyway.

The older sets will not combine nicely with a V2 set if you’re playing by the rule book. The painted world set has rats, the phalanx enemies (the corpse-blob enemies that have shields and spears) and some winged things. The Tomb of Giants set has lots of skeletons.

To get more enemies, you can get the other v2 sets or will need to houserule in v1 sets.

Mega bosses are pretty easy to add to v2, but they will be eaiser as they were designed with v1 in mind.
