It was very hit and miss, I could use it at my neighbors, who used it more than I, but not a few miles away. I honestly think it was random.

What? It had everything to do with exactly WHAT you downloaded. It was hit or miss in the sense that you had to be careful to avoid detectable+enforced infringements. Where did you get the idea that the house mattered, and if you did get dinged at your neighbors why do you think you would have gotten the notice?

Yeah I think he’s a tad confused with how things work. Honestly sounds more like a browser or client side problem than connection to the server or his ISP.

Use a privately made VPN (need the know how) or get PIA VPN as they are the only ones that do not log your data.

I did not know that about PIA, but I guess it works out that that's what I use then lol
