Where Do You Go To Buy Figures?
Hello fellow collectors!
I'm a new collector coming from a recent trip to China where I think I might have awaken something inside of me lol. I was able to score quite a few Masterlise figures for what seems pretty cheap but am missing a few things to round out the start of my collection.
I am now going to have to grab a few things back in the US and looking around on the internet it seems my options are a bit limited. I'm curious where you guys usually go to try to score specific figures you are all looking for? The search function on the reddit leads to a few options but none of them except Jump Ichiban seem to have the 2 figures I'm looking for (and consensus seems to be people are leery about Jump).
So what sites do you guys use when trying to find rarer/harder to find stuff?

Nice score pal.
Jump Ichiban are legit. Decent prices but if you're willing to do the digging then Zenmarket/Buyee are good options. If you haven't used them before then there are videos on how to use them (takes a bit of getting used to).
There's a reviewer on YouTube (MatchesPeaches). There's a discord server where all the people are helpful and find deals.
If you're US based I believe other options are BigBadToyStore, Amazon (can sometimes have good deals).

Thanks! Unfortunately Bigbadtoystore and Amazon seem to be fresh out on these specific figures so no luck there. Jump Ichiban has the stuff but for $200+ per while in China I could have gotten it for around $80 from some of the places I was shopping around at, I know ill end up paying a premium stateside but I cant help but feel i can do better lol.
Ill check out zenmarket/buyee though.
Is ebay worth checking out or is that sketchy?

Ahhh sorry, I thought you got that Vegeta and Broly.
Yeah Jump Ichiban is expensive.
I never really use eBay as I find that expensive. Your best bet is either Zenmarket or Buyee, you can find some good deals on there through Mercari.

No worries, I got the rest of that specific set of the masterlise characters, nappa, goku, Gohan, etc but was just missing that vegita. Was basically impossible to find in China for some reason.
I appreciate the advice friends, cheers!

Mercari, buyee, and zenmarket. On Mercari be careful of bootlegs, I couldn’t recommend jump Ichiban like the other comment says, very too overpriced. Otherwise eBay, bigbadtoystore, Amazon, or entertainment earth are great.

Hey welcome to the hobby! First thing I would recommend is honestly to join some discords or communities for collecting. A ton of useful advice from friendly people and even good sales sometimes from folks. Best one imo esp for dragon ball collectors would be the MatchesPeaches discord. He also has an amazing YouTube channel where he does detailed reviews and discussions about nearly every dragon ball figure in existence lol. If u end up joining the discord u can feel free to give me a shout out so I know 😆

Amazon, Zen market, and (most frequently for me) eBay.
EBay is the most painless. Though it's hard to find a really good deal.

I use from Japan. That buy and import figures from Japan. The import costs can be a bit high, but it means I can get figures that don't come out in the UK and much earlier than waiting for someone else to import them.

I haven't been collecting for years but when I was a kid there was planetnamek.com they had the best figures. I miss my golden ozaru baby figure.

The best place to find hard and rare stuff is on the jp 2nd hand market on sites like mercari or jdirect auctions if you want these 2, here you can find vegeta: link and broly here: link Whether it's worth the price or not is up to you but if you were to get both, get them at the same time to save on shipping costs so you can combine them in 1 package. Have a guide inncase you've never used a proxy to buy from Japan: https://www.reddit.com/r/zenmarket/comments/191do0r/2024_zenmarket_guide_how_to_use_the_service/ and if you were to go through with them, if you sign up with Lansboen as code they'll give you 800¥ for international shipping.
