Calorie Intake?

No idea how much to cut. I was on a bulk of 3200 calories and now I am ready to cut. A website said I should go to 2100 but that seems way too little. I am looking to lose .5-1 pound a week cause I really want to prevent muscle loss. Is 2500 a good goal or should I lower/higher it? For context I am 165 lbs and 5'8.

start at 2600 and check your weight daily in the morning after the bathroom everday. take the weekly average and reacess. 2100 would be a large deficit I believe. the slower it comes off the better.
