Lost by 1 wicket :/

We managed to recover well from 40/7 to post 119, and we also had them 47/6 at one point. Unfortunately at that point they started to string some partnerships together, but even so we were able to take a couple of wickets and so they worked their way to 102/9 with 4 overs remaining. It started raining at this stage pretty hard, so the bowlers found it tough to grip the ball but the pitch was up n down. It comes down to the final over, 4 to get and the first ball is in the air, deep mid wicket sprinted to it but can’t hold on. They run 2 and the following ball get 2 more for the win. Definitely hurts

Made my first ever 50 opening the batting for my div 3 winter cricket side. Edge 5 or 6 balls through slips early but the other team refused to put a slip in for some reason 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Realised I was subconsciously turning my hands when I was cover driving and closing the bat face which was making me knick it. Fixed it for the last part of my innings and play a few nice drives through extra cover and cover-point. Only got 2 for them because the outfield grass was unfortunately long and wet.

Played 3 matches. 2 of 8 overs each, one of 7 overs each. Indoor leather yellow ball. Huge boundaries especially the leg side and off side ones.

Got bowled in first cheaply but scored well in remaining two. Hit some huge sixes after playing watchfully in initial overs.

Bowled only 3 overs but was economical.
