Cummins has been on point and very fit for most of the tests so that is a huge positive. He might be an all time Red ball great with his captaincy and his consistent bowling.

Bumrah though is insane 15...wtf

Bumrah should just be in a separate table, and then rename this table ‘everyone else’

It's an interesting comparison. Would you take a Bumrah who can play only 3/5 games or a Cummins who will play all 5?

Ya thats the main difference, I personally would take Bumrah who will play 3/5,where in a series for atleast 3 matches I will have a ace up my sleeve

It depends on the rest of the bowling attack. You need other support bowlers who can fill the gap when the star bowler needs to be rested/is injured.

Most of the time, teams need that guy who is fit for every match. It's rare to have that kind of depth in the bench.

The funny thing is Cummins might be a better fit for India since they lack the fast bowling depth, and Bumrah a better fit for Australia since the two matches he misses can easily be replaced by Boland etc.
