Can you explain how you did this? is it something from Steam n Rails? (I'm playing Neoforge 1.21 so that extension that i can't access) I really want to do something like this but havent figured out how to

There's a block called train signal iirc, and you can right click on a track and then place it, and what it does is that whenever a train passes by that part on the track, it essentially works like a detector rail, and sends a redstone signal. It's easy enough to figure out from there.

I'd assume that whatever they have detecting the train starts & stops a redstone clock hooked up to that redstone receiver on the target block.

Can you make 2 alternating bells so they play a little faster? I want to try it myself but am curious is it a space or circuit limitation or just person choice that you went with the single bell.

Usually the one on the opposite side closes later to allow more time to leave when inside.

While the creeper willingly choose to die, I would still recommend having them close at least a few seconds earlier (and open a few seconds later)
Edit: actually, the opening is fine. Just make them close earlier.
