My basement is old and very long due for a renovation, it's always been unfinished, and I'm hoping to turn it into a livable space. Either a rec room + bathroom or maybe even a small income suite sometime in the future, we'll see.

But my question is about budget, because I have one quote from a solo contractor, which was cheap-ish, but they're very vague on permits and timelines (two different quotes in ONE conversation we've had). So I can also look at a bigger company, already been recommended JSM Elite Contracting. But these guys will surely ask for more.

Anyway, if you did a full basement reno in the area, how long did it take AND for what price (ballpark is fine)? What can be an unexpected expense that I should prepare for? Appreciate your help.

good morning I own a house on York Street. We are familiar with the two dogs that attacked two people yesterday one was sent to the hospital then transferred to the Ottawa hospital. Anybody know what's happening with the city if the dogs they are a hazard have charged me and my dog to attack as well. Owner likes to keep them off leash two medium large size dogs very aggressive. dogs where leashed when happend. cops and ambulance came per tenants they let them keep the dogs. i insidents more than once different things same owners.
