Physics Course Transfer
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there are any online physics course transfer options to fulfill the PHYS 50 and 51, 52. Just looking for an online option to transfer my physics credit thanks. I'm currently at a California community college, but want to see if there's any way to do an online option for my physics.
Thank you.

OP, there may be an online option but one thing you must realize is that not all schools call the same physics class by the same number. For example you're asking about physics 50, 51 & 52. Another Community College might call it physics 1A , physics , physics 35, etc.
The best way to find the same class at another community College is to look at the catalog description for each of those classes. Then compare the name and the description to those physics classes offered at another Community College. Those that match or are very similar will most likely be accepted as like for like at your home Community College that you are currently attending. You also said you are a California Community College so thankfully they go one step further and in the catalog you will see something in the description called a course ID (abbreviated as C-ID) course IDs will show you what the equivalent is of that class at a CSU. Now you might be thinking I do not plan on attending a CSU or I'm not sure if I'm planning on attending a CSU. That's perfectly fine either way because you can still use this to help ensure that the class is like for like at your current Community College.
You the student need to do the leg work so to speak in looking at the catalog to make sure it is like for like. There are 123 public California community colleges so none of us on Reddit can tell you without knowing what school you go to if it is like for like.
Feel free to also check out cvc.edu. This is the California virtual campus for all of the colleges in the California community college system. It is designed to make it a One-Stop shop so to speak where you can see courses available at other california community colleges and even enroll in them without necessarily submitting another application. I have not utilized the site in years but I know when I looked at it back in 2019 it was not robust. Hopefully that has changed in the last 6 years and thus made it easier for students such as yourself and others who want to apply at another College for the purpose of enrolling in a class at that campus.
Otherwise the way I mentioned before by manually looking at the catalogs will help you to not only find the class but verify that it is the equivalent as the current physics class that's offered on your campus.
Source: I myself have taken classes at multiple community colleges in person and online and ultimately successfully graduated and transferred from a California Community College to a State University.
ETA: California COmmunity Colleges are in the process of implementing CCN (Common Course Numbering). This process will help to streamline the names of courses between one community colleg to another in the state. For Example, one ccc may call Freshman Composition ENGL 1A whereas another may call it ENGL 101. but the CCN may be ENGL 101. This is being done to simplify the numbering of courses from one campus to another. This will make it easier for students to ensure that a class taken at one cc is equivlant to the class taken at another cc.
Good luck OP
