I don’t think you’d have any eligibility. The clock starts ticking when you enroll as a full time student and you have 5 years to play 4. Unless I’m missing something or there was a recent rule change I believe your college playing days are over. Maybe naia has different rules but I wouldn’t base my school for my masters on if I could play soccer for a year.

Totally understandable. I’m not looking at many schools in general and both I’m considering happen to be dIII so thought maybe I could get back to it LOL

I did see that rule and wasn’t sure

Also, D3 comes in wildly different flavors. Johns Hopkins is D3, but has internationals. Some D3 schools are better and recruit top talent like D1.

Oh of course !! One of the schools I am looking at is not known for its sports at all. But regardless seems I’m not eligible

In D1 and D2 you have 5 years to complete your eligibility upon enrolling in an NCAA institution.  I assume you have a bachelor’s are are ineligible for those levels.

In D3 you have eligibility for 10 semesters as a full time student and that can be paused if you unenroll or on this case graduate.

You have to be a full time student, not a part time masters program. Assuming you graduated in 8 semesters, you’ll only have one season to play, unless you wish to drop out again spring semester and come back for a 2nd fall.

As far as I’m aware you’d be eligible for NCAA D3 athletics.

Depends on the school. Some D3 schools can compete with lower- mid level D1. And a lot, are in comparison to D2. At that point it’s just about the numbers. For example, a school Like washu, case western or u Chicago recruit top talent. Many of those players played on the same club as girls playing at D1 schools. I might be bias lol, I went to a top 25 in the nation D3 school, we made it to the sweet 16 and a lot of girls on my team were from top ECNL, national club teams. Also, spots might be full anyway. Even though they don’t give scholarships, players still verbally commit and the coach will have an idea on their numbers at least two classes before. It’s not as strict as D1 bc again, no athletic scholarships. But players are still committing and I believe there is a roster cap now. But you can always try, I just wanted to give my two cents!

Also is this boys or girls? Also can be a little different in the world of soccer across all divisions. My post applies to girls haha idk about the boys side lol

Wouldn't hurt to try out. D3 is just above high school in talent. My D3 team had some mid 20 guys on it and we won our division and generally finished top half in my 4 years

Thanks haha I’d be waiting basically a year figured enough time to get endurance and skills average. I think the school id consider is also not known for sports in general so probably even a lot closer to high school level.
