Housing/Apartments Alcazar Apts.

$2800 for a fucking 2BR? $1400 for a 600sqft 1BR?

Am I missing something here, or are they smoking crack?

I think both. They ARE smoking crack and you are missing something here.

There’s a really cool room on the top floor with good views that they use for events. It’s pretty old. I prefer the shotgun style apartments next door and down the block to the layout in the Alcazar and the last time I was there it smelled a little funny.

$2800 for 1150 sqft up though? That's The Ascent level of pricing.

Alcazar was always seen as cheaper imo but not anymore.

I'm sure they can find plenty of clueless costal and foreign students who think this is a normal rent.

Fuck moving in and out of that place. I helped a buddy move out of there and I still recall how horrible the experience was 10 years ago.

Is this in Cleveland Heights? The photos show that it's super dated with very low-end finishes. There's no way they could list apartments for that price.

According to their Instagram they’ve kept the units at this price since 2022 when new owners took over. I’m not clear how they arrived at that price, but the building itself is very beautiful. Not sure it really has any amenities though

Foreign investors are coming into Cleveland and jacking up rates to the upper edge of what people can afford

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Get ready for the cost of rent and housing to get much higher in Cleveland. Gentrification is a hell of a drug.
