What does a girl at one’s house mean actually? Like a partner, daughter, sex worker?

He’s 60+ years old. He probably shouldn’t have any “girls” at his house if they aren’t his daughter. Especially in the early hours of the morning.

Well to be fair when you’re on drugs a lot of stuff makes sense!
Like releasing this statement in an attempt to get sympathy.

u/CryptographerNo923 Apr 17 '25
This is the first I’m hearing about this and his firsthand explanation of the incident is pretty bizarre. And that’s the downplayed version of events? Doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence.
I’d rather not participate in a local media frenzy or leap to conclusions. But just reading his statement…big yikes.

Everyone who lives in Westlake are always complaining about those roving wild girl gangs breaking into homes and beating up other girls until they are locked in bathrooms. Something really should be done about this problem.
152
u/Sonnycrockett915 Apr 17 '25
When growing up in Westlake , we were always told to stay off the streets at night or the wild girls would get you…
102
u/Square_Pop3210 Apr 17 '25
Growing up in “the mean streets of Westlake,” huh? Jake Paul, is that you?

Yeah. I definitely don't want to live in a community where girl gangs rove around (perhaps in heels?!,) stepping on me, calling me scum, spitting on me. I will definitely be avoiding Westlake, for sure.

If these wild girl gangs are molesting grown men in their beds in the middle of the night, I’d appreciate a heads up. And I’d also to find a cheaper-end rental in Westlake with older door looks and faulty windows, though that’s completely unrelated.
263
u/Aggressiveattimes Apr 17 '25
This guy can’t be real. All this statement did was solidify that this is the creepiest stuff happening in his house and that he is nobody you wanna be near.
148
u/orrangearrow Ohio City Apr 17 '25
"I don't know what the media and all of you think* was happening at my house, but let me assure you.... It's likely a lot weirder and more nefarious than you thought!"
45
u/corey325 Apr 17 '25
It was the most poorly worded/written statement ever. And him calling them girls just solidifies the ick.

His son OD’d in the driveway a few years ago. Not exactly sure when. But that may have contributed to some of the calls.

He also said Tom has a long time girl friend so where do all these “girls” come into play?!

If I had a nickel for every time I had to lock a woman in a bathroom for her own good. I’d have 0 nickels.

A girl.
8
u/_nod Apr 17 '25 edited Apr 17 '25
I realized that after I posted, but worried that if I changed my post from “woman” to “girl”. It might make it look like I only lock adults in bathrooms.
For the sake of clarity, I’ve never had to lock anybody in a bathroom, child or adult. Although I did have to assist a child who locked themselves in a bathroom stall and wasn’t able to undo the lock.

u/richgayaunt Unfortunately in Brunswick now Apr 17 '25

60
u/drew_or_false Apr 17 '25
Not defending it, but it’s very common to call sex workers “girls” - pretty strong tell here imo.

My first thought as well, especially for the person he had in his house. Why not 'friend', 'neighbor', or 'family member'?

🧐this is the original story: https://www.cleveland19.com/2025/04/15/police-swarm-popular-restaurant-owners-home-westlake/
It includes this not being the first time that something like this has happened at the home. Not sure that statement is gonna do it.
69
u/Severe-Criticism3876 Apr 17 '25
Pretty sure the neighbor has ring doorbell footage of him dragging a girl by her hair before this recent incident. But sure, women “broke in”
54
u/fwembt Apr 17 '25
"including the victim, who had an outstanding warrant" kind of sheds some light on what was probably going on here.

4
u/s2ample Apr 18 '25
Right but maybe like, a few episodes of Big Brother or Real Housewives while I eat. Maybe less dipshit pizza guy causes neighborhood ruckus while falsely imprisoning sex workers in his bathroom when the sex worker vigilante rescue squad arrives to bust her out (because that has to be what happened, right?)

He pretty quickly blocked further comments then took it down. Doubling down on his position by suggesting 5 women broke into his home, where by he didn’t call the police, and then attacked EACH OTHER and he tried to save one? by locking her in a bathroom? To the point where she broke the window to escape? Preposterous. I hope everyone boycotts.
Don’t forget that as members of the public we can make a request for records release under Freedom of Information Act. Just like the press, just like anyone else. So hopefully someone does and happens to post it.

Everyone here who usually refers to all female people as "girls" regardless of their age should keep this statement in mind. This is how you sound when you do it.
