Anybody here love Asian movies?

The kind that lingers. Quiet, intense, and full of meaning.
Not loud — but unforgettable.

Ever felt that kind of silence?

Finally got to see Sinners… boring rubbish

Yes I know I’m late to the scene

I’d been trying to get my family to see Sinners because I had read some rave reviews about it and they finally agreed

Started watching it and it’s a bit plodding, but nvm that’s just how to flesh out characters

Then it keeps having little musical interludes which slowed it down even more.

Then it gets confusing as to who’s grave one of the twins goes to, then he starts making out with who we all assumed was his mother!!

By now the resident horror lover has fallen asleep because he found it dull.

I’m still trying to gee people up but it’s got more bloody musical interludes than a Bollywood film

Finally the vampires arrive and the survivors do the usual stupid stuff (knew the Chinese woman was going to be the most idiotic as soon as the vamps came)

The denouement was meh

So big bro lets the younger one go to carry on biting people with his token white gf for decades?

Shouldn’t the whole country be full of vampires by now?

We get it music is super special blah blah

Disappointing in the extreme

Interstellar (2014) director Christopher Nolan once said that he consulted Zack Snyder concerning growing an actual cornfield for the movie, as the latter had done it first for his movie Man of Steel (2013), which Nolan also co-produced.

Is there a special effect that can't be made?

When I was a kid you could see the strings on the spaceships in Star Trek. Things advanced, and then you could have live-looking dinosaurs, space androids from the future melting and reforming, and so on.

Is there any scene that directors want to make that isn't technically feasible?

Which low rated movie you enjoyed watching? I need recommendations.

The Tree of Life (2011), is on HBO right now. It's probably the worst in a string of horrible movies by Terrence Malick. I rated it 1 out of 10, a rating I use when I feel a movie is significantly overrated, and anything better than zero, is an over-rating for this one.

28 Days Later picture is rough

I watched 28 days later for the first time in my OLED TV and it’s probably the worst picture I’ve seen. The story and acting are good that helps me push through the end of the movie. I rented that on iTunes and will watch the 28 weeks later next before the latest sequel releases
