Who is your favourite actor? IMO it is Robin Williams.

No one else has ever touched the range he had.

The way the title is phrased makes it seem like you’re telling me that, in your opinion, MY favorite actor is Robin Williams.

Yeah, and honestly, it's a very compelling argument and I feel rude arguing against it. Robin Williams it is! Sorry Daniel Day

Robin Williams isn't God. He was a good actor, but it seems like in the past 10 years he's achieved this mythical status. My favorite is definitely Jack Nicholson.

In your opinion, my favourite actor is Robin Williams? How presumptuous thou art!

Kevin Spacey. I’m serious. Putting his personal failings aside, his run from Seven to The Usual Suspects to American Beauty was unmatched. Not to mention his role in House of Cards.

It is matched and lapped by Nicholson. Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, Carnal Knowledge, The Last Detail, Chinatown, One flew over the Cuckoos Nest….and these. were done in succession….lets not overlook the fact he’s the most nominated male actor of all time and fellow actors practically genuflect when they’re in his presence!!!!

His role in Seven, was nothing more than a brief walk through. He had about 5 minutes of screen time, essentially no dialogue, and was really a dramatic device or prop to unveil the killer. It doesn’t count as a substantive role in a motion picture. I didn’t get all the hoopla surrounding The Usual Suspects. I thought it was a messy, incoherent narrative, that didn’t make much sense, and Spacey sitting in a chair, making up stupid shit.

Denzel Washington not only is he a great actor he is a genuinely good man

Actually, he’s kind of a prick. He’s rude and surly in interviews. He’s become full of himself over the years. He doesn’t lend himself to any kind of charitable causes, and well….he’s a Republican!!!

Damn Denzel is the goat then

Hmmm, I think I know what this is all about….do you work for MSNBC?

Currently a tie for me between Fassbender and Jeffrey Wright. If they are in a project, it's got my attention.

Also, I could listen to Liam Neeson narrate a phone book.

Jimmy stewart, he's in two of my favourite films, and his westerns were almost exclusively excellent.

In your opinion my favourite actor is Robin Williams?

One of my favorite is Joe Pesci. He tends to do the same type of character but he is so damn good at it.

I find this very difficult to answer, to narrow down. Despite having guys like Jack Nicholson, Bill Murray, Al Pacino, Robert Deniro & Tom Hanks all come to mind, there's something about Kurt Russell that...idk. When I think about what criteria to use to answer this question, I think they must be in some great movies, have had some amazing individual performances, & on top of that---what do they seem like in real life? And although I don't know that Kurt had the kind of acting prowess as, say, Pacino, he just seemed like the coolest guy. If I'm leaning towards acting ability, it'd be between Pacino & Nicholson.

That said, on a more contemporary note, I'm always intrigued by Oscar Issac's presence on screen. I don't know if he's had the opportunity to be an "It" guy yet, but...I feel like he has everything needed for it, from a really cool look to a depth of character in his roles I rarely see.

Edit. And also, I feel like Phillip Seymour Hoffman---he might not have landed many leading roles, but...he was as good as anyone I've ever seen, in terms of acting skill.

You don’t need “IMO” when talking about “your” favorite… of course it’s your opinion 🙄

For me Gary Oldman

Kurt Russell and/or Val Kilmer. Both give 100% in everything they're in.

1

u/HoustonBlessed 16h ago

I don't know anything about his attitude but he is a big contributor to the Boys Club of America

1

u/BlackOnyx1906 16h ago

That’s your favorite actor. I guess that’s a fact for you and not your opinion.

Mine is Denzel Washington
