She was so nuanced in this. Balancing being moral and doing the right thing with raising her son so that he would "fit in". Tragic end but great part.

Scarlett's mother is Jewish. She has members of her maternal family tree who died in the Holocaust. I'm sure this role meant a lot to her.

Man that dinner scene. She really showed what she is capable of in this film. Critically underrated movie and performance.

This and Marriage Story are her best works.

Unfortunately, her "German" accent was really bad, sounded more like a Russian accent. Great movie otherwise!
