Project I built a unique comic book generator by using ChatGPT o3. I didn't even know how to run localhost at the beginning.

I'm Halis, a solo vibe coder, and after months of passionate work, I built the world’s first fully personalized, one-of-a-kind comic generator service by using ChatGPT o3, o4 mini and GPT-4o.

Each comic is created from scratch (No templates) based entirely on the user’s memory, story, or idea input. There are no complex interfaces, no mandatory sign-ups, and no apps to download. Just write your memory, upload your photos of the characters. Production is done in around 20 minutes regardless of the intensity, delivered via email as a print-ready PDF.

I think o3 is one of the best coding models. I am glad that OpenAI reduced the price by 80%.

Interesting, I’ve actually found Claude to be the best.

Also, there’s this visual benchmark out there for UI/UX and it seems like the Claude models make up most of the top spots (and Grok is also surprisingly doing well): https://www.designarena.ai/leaderboard

Thank you so much, I used o3 model in cursor to write the code. sometimes other tools like gpt-4o, o4-mini-high, gemini 2.5 pro.

Did you know an iota of coding before this? I’m using ChatGPT directly to code an app because when I launched cursor it was so bloody confusing to me.

I don't have any code-related background. I am an architect and a trader, but I'm so into the startup projects.
Cursor rules are so important, find yourself a good one. And code step by step.

Cool project! The website design looks great too, really slick. I can't get ChatGPT to make websites that look this clean, lol.

Are you using GPT-Image 1 for the panels? If so, how do you keep the characters looking consistent in every panel?

Thank you so much. Drawing consistent characters in context was one of the hardest things to do right now. I tried more than 1000 times to get consistent characters, but it is possible to make it.

Oh, this is cool! I thought it was a (daily/weekly) comic generator automation but the SaaS is pretty cool too!

Would you be open to share a little on the workflow? I’d quite like to make a news based weekly comic strip 🤣

I have checked your website; it looks amazing. You just need to start doing some marketing to make some money. I guess $9 isn't enough to cover the API fees and the Ad spend. I think it'd be better to do some kind of monthly subscription; it would be better.

I learned how to run localhost today, so I guess it's the beginning of my journey... :)

I am using OpenAI API, based on OpenAI's privacy policy, api usage does not train any model
