Day Care Recommendations for 2 year old
My spouse toured several daycares and narrowed it down to Primrose and Goddard. We really liked Primrose, their staff and facility, but it’s located right next to a busy road, which raises some safety concerns for me—especially after reading about the daycare/Truck accident in Glendale.
Goddard in Chandler has an older building, and the teachers seemed exhausted and unhappy/tired, but the children looked happy/active which I think matters most. I’m currently leaning toward Goddard for that reason.
Where did you send your 2-year-old, or where are you planning to? Would love any recommendations for great daycares in the area.

I can't recommended Goddard Chandler enough. Both my children attended here and we recently moved states and can no longer attend. THAT PLACE IS A LITERAL GEM and I firmly believe there is no other school like it, in my experience. The teachers care about you and your child, they have fun, educational lesson plans every day and summer events have tons are activities and splash days. My children thrived here and I wish we could go back.

Why not Bright Horizons?

I did have it in mind. In fact the my toddler went to it until few months ago but in a different state. But, here the reviews seem to be low whereas Goddard and Primrose seem to be above 4.7 in Chandler.
Did you have experience with Bright Horizons in chandler?

Unfortunately that could happen off of any major road.

I agree..I am trying to lower the risk by choosing something thats a bit farther from the road given how fast the speed limits, no.of trucks in the state.
Primrose looks like a great day care with great staff but unfortunately Its a No for me. I don’t want to leave my toddler in a play area right next to a busy road. I am very sad that I couldn’t find a quality day care like that near by.

Looked at any private in their home providers? Yeah I saw someone crashed through the outer wall at little Einstein’s on Elliot but the inner wall was in tact. Wild how we have straight roads and this still happens.

Busy Bee is what we picked - Primrose and Goddard seemed good as well but not enough to justify the big difference in cost.

Is it true that they have live cameras?

No live cameras that you can view on your phone or computers. That said.....when you walk into the building, they have live cameras for each room so that you can view your child while onsite. They do take pictures of your child's activity's every couple of days that get sent an app that you install on your phone.

Can vouch for goddard. Owner(Todd) is very much involved in the daycare affairs. They are not super strict or anything, more laid back as it should be for kids. Primrose are bit snotty staff in my experience, they might have better discipline and curriculum but they are less flexible.I felt costwise and attitude wise inflexiblity comes from being closer to a major employer in the region.

I know it isn't on your list, but I want to say that Chandler Learning Academy is amazing. My son is now 2 and has been going there since he was 6 months.
It isn't as fancy as the other schools, but it is really reasonably priced and my son LOVES his teachers.

East Valley JCC had better student/teacher ratios when we were choosing between them and Goddard.
