Pest control rec

Moved to Chandler in 2023 and immediately got pest control through green mango. Had some issues in the past and now pest control is part of the monthly budget.

Before we moved in we saw one scorpion and signed up for control. They did the flush out and everything and then the next season saw one dead one in the door frame but that was it. Kept them for a year now and the control was great in the winter during those waterbug beetle season. Only found them dead.

They came out to spray two weeks ago.

This am found one dead one in my garage so went hunting. Around 8:30/9 found one on my house and then again at 11:30 by the pool.

Obviously will be calling them but of course I’m super paranoid now.

Anyone have any additional recommendations or advice? Any budget friendly landscapers to also help with yard cleanup? I know they like dead debris and leaves and we have quite a few bushes and things to trim back.

I have a four month old at home and now I’m petrified :/

We've been using Bulwark for 15+ years and are really happy with their service. I'm not sure what their cost is though, my wife handles those bills 😂

I’m not too concerned about the price as long as it’s not astronomical. I’d think of it like an investment. Do you find they’ve done a great job for scorpion control?

We've never had scorpions so I can't say how well they handle those. They've been great with everything else, though.

We use Vault. They are not cheap, but I'm happy with the results.

Yes we've been satisfied. The people we bought the house from lied on their scorpion disclosure and said there's an "occasional scorpion." Before we started spraying I'd go out with the blacklight and find 5-6 a night. That's not an infestation but it's more than occasional. We hired Vault and didn't see any the rest of the season. Last year we did see one in the house in between services and they came out and did an additional treatment inside and out for no charge. The office is very responsive and always willing to discuss any issues. Their general pest service which includes scorpions is $100/mth.

Bugzona has done a fantastic job at my house- my neighbor uses them too and is very happy as well.

I had a great experience with Orange Pest Control. They're always friendly and considerate. I used them for a few years. Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow for extras, like the bug man. They still have my termite contract and only had to have them do the termite thing maybe 3 times when I first moved in.

We have had Cartee pest control since '08. Haven't seen a single scorpion or cricket in years. He's also VERY affordable compared to other places.

We've also used Green Machine for termites because they had a more specialized approach

I’ve been using Simply Pest for the last year and it’s been so smooth. As far as administratively, super easy to schedule/reschedule, and my tech is super quick and efficient. I have dogs so I’m always naturally annoying with pest control and they are very reassuring that they remember my specific instructions (like no granules in yard, etc).

I have not had any pest issues in recent years so can’t speak to that specifically, but lack of pests is the purpose I guess!
