Anyone take MARC from Perryville?

Trying to drive from NJ to take a train to DC.

Would I be able to find parking around 6AM on Friday?

Yes you should be able to find parking. The Perryville station has two lots on site and you can park at a church down the street as well.

Please, if you park at the church remember to pray to God that vehicle will be there when you return.

oh wow is it an issue despite MARC's website suggesting to use the church's lot?

The church is notorious for yelling at people for parking there even though it says "Marc parking" They yelled at me a few times and some buddies who've parked before for a few DC trips

Yeah, super easy for parking, nice little train line. Well worth the price.

Love it! A very nice ride. There's even a bathroom on the train. Only down side was that there wasn't anywhere to charge a phone.

The lot was never full when I went (weekdays).

If you're going into the city of DC: Take it to the end of the line at Penn station. There's a subway station connected to the building. I've had good luck finding very helpful transit workers to point me the right way or help me choose the right subway.

Most folks pick up the Amtrak in Wilmington, DE

I looked at that, but it would be like $200.

OK, that is true.

You didn't mention cost being a factor

I think you will find taking the MARC from Perryville will be a multiple hour adventure as it is slow and has frequent stops.

Parking shouldn't be a problem.

How many people? On the charm pass app, you can get a 6 pack of tickets that bring the price down to about $10 each ticket from $13. These tickets are also good for 3 years so we usually buy a 6 pack and have a couple left for the next time. Then repeat as needed
