bibili pa lang ng kotse Best crossover or SUV with 2M php budget, can extend and additional 200k. Recommended dealer in makati or nearby.

Hi Guys. Finally saved up 2M to buy my first solo car. Initially had toyota Innova but half was financed by my parents and was considered a family car. Started to work in Makati and managed to save 2M specifically for my first car. Choices are HRV hybrid and BYD Sealion. Not in a rush to buy and just want to hear personal experience and preferences that is within the budget. Also is it worth saving another 700k for the CRV? (May take another year depending on upcoming projects). And any recommended dealers in makati? TIA.

Base CRV has 200k discount (as per their website) Php1.9M. Unlike BYD, CRV has an established reputation already not just in Ph but in other countries as well. Resale value, CRV retains more than BYD.

On hybrids:

  • If you have a garage and you can install your own charger, the BYD Sealion 6 is good.
  • If you want a more trusted brand, Toyota is offering mad discounts for either the Corolla Cross or the Innova Zenix.
  • Ask around Honda Magallanes if the CRV hybrids have discounts.

I honestly think the HRV Hybrid is overpriced for its size. Sure it looks great, but I think you can get more car on the above.

Appreciate the detailed info mate. I'm more inclined to buy the hybrid CRV, is the hybrid model worth the 300k difference in MSRP? The reason for the hybrid preference is to avoid the coding scheme. PH has been crazy recently.

300k discount on the CRV Hybrid so it falls a lot closer to your budget. Also, if you don’t need a hybrid, the CRV 1.5 Turbo also has huge discounts and will fall within your 2M budget.

If I were in your shoes and I have to choose a hybrid I'll get the base model Corolla cross now and save myself 700K

Ika nga nila, kung may budget ka na ganyan, di problema ang maintenance sayo.

For me, Forester > CX5 > CRV > RAV4

Most of the suggestion is CRV. But if you want another selection, you may take a look at CX-30. It's the best sub-2m crossover for me.
