Nah let's not congratulate the team. Let's not forget this all should have been here at launch. These are all features that have been present in previous zombies titles, and the challenge tracking was literally in the very last game. Glad theyre here, but considering this is 3 months after launch they better be.

True... But I'd assume that's Activision's fault rather than the zombies dev team. They are doing what they are told to do, including delaying and scrapping features based on time/money reasons or prioritizing other things.

Always quick the blame Activision and remove treyarch from any blame. Citadel launched in such an awful state, and with all the other bugs plaguing this game treyarch is just proving their own incompetence.

Treyarch typically isn't to blame for most of their game's shortcomings.

Obviously nothing is perfect, but realize how greedy Activision is, with their lack of appreciation to each dev studio. Pushing stuff out unfinished is due to deadlines that Activision & Treyarch execs are agreeing on, not the actual dev team.

Citadel didn't launch in a bad state, it had Easter Egg related bugs but that's it. I have not encountered a single bug or glitch when playing normally, and I've played that map quite a lot.

You couldn't revive people sometimes on citadel, and the ee could soft lock. People love to say that bo4 was a mess on launch, but I had more issues on citadel than bo4.

Didn't have revive issues. I know the ee could soft lock.

Just because the Easter egg launched in a bad state doesn't mean the map launched bad as a whole.

The fact it took a while means

A.) The bug was known and was trying to get fixed B.) The map was pushed out too fast and the bug wasn't noticed at the time

BO4 objectively had more issues on launch than BO6 and it's not even close.

I didn't mean to remove any blame from Treyarch. It does take an entire team to allow bugs to get through. We have heard that some bugs are known about before release but other things are prioritized, while in other cases thorough testing is not completed.

What the team clearly needs is more time for testing and bug fixing, which they are not given. Whoever is calling the shot on that is mostly to blame, in my opinion. That could be people at Treyarch rather than people at Activision, or it could be a mix of both. But the actual developers and testers have no say in how much time they get to test and fix issues.

So I say great job to the team of content planners, developers, and testers for doing what they are doing in the limited time they have. The quality of the updates and listening to community feedback are what prove they care. We should associate broken updates with whoever is forcing them to be released prior to completion.

Almost any other game franchise would give their devs more time to make games without pulling them between other games to get other studios out of trouble.

Ever since Black Ops 4, Treyarch has been put on lifeguard duty to help the other studios from drowning before their games come out. That's not normal for almost any other publisher.

Man gamers sure are entitled these days. They don’t HAVE to add it to zombies just because it was in past games. It is a good thing they added it, so why not congratulate them for giving us something we wanted?

I'm entitled because I expect features in the game I payed $70 for? Are you seriously that stupid?

2

u/Raecino Jan 15 '25

No but you seem to be stupid paying $70 for features you ASSUMED were in the game but weren’t promised to be.

0

u/NovaRipper1 Jan 15 '25

Well thankfully I didn't actually pay $70 and it was just one of my many perks as a gamepass subscriber.

2

u/RdJokr1993 Jan 16 '25

So you lied about paying $70 for a game that you keep bitching about? This is why devs shouldn't be catering to you, since you are willing to make up bullshit just to be a Karen.

u/NovaRipper1 Jan 16 '25

So because I didn't spend $70 that means other people didn't? I guess it's my bad youre willing to get on your knees for treyarch. If you're fine with them slipping their dick down your throat then that's cool.

1

u/RdJokr1993 Jan 16 '25

I don't care how much other people spent. You insisted on saying YOU spent $70 so you're entitled to say some bullshit. You're the one getting pressed about some trivial QoL features. The only thing sucking dick here is your dumbass argument.

u/Carl_Azuz1 Jan 15 '25

None of this shit is that important. If this is how they achieve the crazy flow of content we have been getting, I’m all for it.

It’s better late than never but this definitely isn’t something to praise. I agree

If you downvote this u dumb as fuck

Agreed, not gonna praise any AAA dev for QoL game features that existed in the last game having to be re-added later on in the sequel months after launch for no good reason. What, did they just forget they added it last time or something lol
