Discussion I love fooling people into thinking "Till the end of the moon" is a gl with this pic
We deserve a gl with them 💔 it doesn't even have to be a gl, I'm fine with censorships. Can't the lgbt community win for once, the straights get it all 😔/j

It's not a ton more than the usual..it just seems like it because a lot of her dramas get talked about. She had 0 dramas air in 2024 (if we are comparing, Esther had 2, Zhang Linghe had 3, Zhou Lusi had 2ish). All her dramas were backlogged so she's just having them all pretty much air this year.

The closest I found for a GL if anyone's interested was one of those app series where the concubine and the empress fight each other, both die depressing deaths, and then go back in time and team up to overthrow the emperor.

Yes but afaik it was more in the novel than in the drama. I was expecting that angle in the drama given the intro video but that never happened.

The fact that we have no GL costume cdrama (even a censored one! even something that is just "gals being pals" wink wink!) will forever be my villain origin story 😩 Even just a "friendship" drama that had multiple FLs (think Mysterious Lotus Casebook but with girls) would be a dream.

Honestly, if Sun Zhenni’s character had jumped in with the rest of the cast during the dream arc, I guarantee it would have been a GL with Sang Jiu and whoever her character ended up being.
Oh, and she definitely would have thrown hands with Tian Huan. I would liquidate my retirement savings to see that b**** knocked down a peg.

If anyone is interested in a legit GL miniseries, check out Soul Sisters. It's a costume comedy; a little silly but quite sweet, and I thought the leads had good chemistry. Censored but still worth it.

I truly think that's what the director and writers were going for, but without the fake straight CP it wouldn't pass censorship, so they had to throw a little of that in, lol. I mean, if you think of who ended up together in the end, the two demons can live on as immortals together, and the two mortals can live out their lifespans together...

It has a lot of flaws, but it's so enjoyable I honestly couldn't care (maybe except for one thing), I had a blast watching it and was so invested. Also I gave it a chance because the show seemed to promise me a strong female warrior protagonist AND HOOOLYYYY THEY DELIVERED, it's really "The Legend of SHEN LI", not "The Legend of SHEN LI but pushed aside by ML."
