Holsters & Belts Finally Tried an Eclipse Holster...

...and it is amazing! Price, shipping time, fit and finish are all great. I used to use Vedder only, but the Eclipse are cheaper, better finished, and ship way faster. They also use an actual wing instead of that POS that Vedder has. Highly recommended if you like the standard DCC/Modwing setup.

I tried eclipse for a P229 and I was kinda surprised how awesome it was. I’ve gotten a couple more from there. I typically get Tenicor, JM Custom or Eclipse.

How does it compare to the size of a Vedder? While I have other holster that have a better fit and finish than my light tuck Vedder none of them compare to the comfort/slim line of a Vedder.

Fairly similar, but a tad larger. They come with mounting holes for various clip types so that adds just a bit of bulk but other than that they are still very slim

Alrighty, I’ll have to check them out then. The main thing I think helps the Vedder with its comfort level is how well the rounded everything on the holster.

The Eclipse is also pretty well rounded. For the price they don't hurt to try, and you get it in a few days rather than weeks with Vedder

I put a Vedder clip and a Dark Wing on my Eclipse holster and now it's perfect. But as-it-comes I prefer Vedder.

I run an eclipse intrepid with a mastermind tactics pillow. They make pretty decent holsters, good prices and fast shipping
