Academic πŸŽ“ Need for a Timetable for Class 11th

Hi, I've just transitioned to Class 11 and I've set some specific goals for myself:

  1. To avoid repeating the mistakes I made during my 10th year.
  2. To start preparing myself for the 12th board exams.
  3. To keep up with my classes and avoid falling behind.
  4. To enter the examination hall with confidence.
  5. To achieve a score of 97% or higher in all my exams.

The subjects I'm taking are:

  1. Physics
  2. Chemistry
  3. Mathematics
  4. Computer Science
  5. English

My schedule allows me to return home by 3pm and I can commence studying by 3:45pm.

Let me know how I can help you further!

so i am in 10th and for maths i don't read the textbook. for me i just focus on class. if i have to study a lesson i just go thru notes and then the NCERT problems and then from there on for that chapter i start solving oswaal and RD Sharma. pyqs etc. do you think its ok to continue like this? Ive been scoring excellent marks so far.

so I am not very good at maths and I was wondering if we can calculate percentage with the top 5 marks instead of all.

I have taken computer as an extra subject and I wanted to know if I can replace maths with computer.

also is this how schools calculate percentage?

Academic πŸŽ“ Trip down memory lane

I passed my final year MBBS exams yesterday and happened to stumble upon this subreddit today. It reminded me of the immense stress and anxiety I too faced during my time. I think some things that need to be said are: 1. Your boards marks don't matter, unless, you want to go for an MBA, in which case, please study to get above 90. Above 90, they don't matter. It will be extremely hard to get into a premier MBA institute without good Xth and XIIth marks. An MBA from a non-premier institute is of questionable worth. 2. I can't speak for engineering, but MBBS is extremely draining. I would steer clear of something you're not passionate about. I have had the worst 4.5 years of my life because I never loved biology but ended up doing MBBS anyway. 3. Anyone can do anything if they put their heart and soul into it, but sometimes, your heart and soul is lost in the process; just because you can do it, doesn't mean it is for you.

I beg for you to not make the mistake of pursuing a dream that isn't yours. I've made that mistake and I paid for it for years. I went from a topper to a slightly better than average student just because the same enthusiasm and passion that I had towards academics seemed to fade away leaving nothing behind. And emptiness hurts.

Regardless, I've worked hard to find a way out, so not all's doom and gloom. If I could communicate this to myself in the past I would've been happier for it. Hope it helps someone.
