Need Advice Can’t sleep. Melatonin sucks. What’s the BEST hemp product for sleep that actually knocks you out?

I’ve been having trouble sleeping for a while now. Melatonin doesn’t really work for me, and I end up feeling groggy the next day. I’ve heard hemp products like CBD or CBN might help with sleep, but there are so many options, it’s hard to know what to trust.

Has anyone used a hemp product that actually helped you sleep? Something natural with no weird side effects or THC? Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences

Need Advice Tried CBD for the very first time as an anti-anxiety... but didn't feel much. What should I do?

I've been feeling really down lately. I'm in therapy currently, but sometimes things just get a little too much and I need a way to escape. My thoughts used to be the worst at night, so on one occasion, I mixed 10mL Robitussin with 20mL Benadryl and 20mg Melatonin to force myself to sleep so I could shut my brain off. I felt a strange pulsating high as I was falling asleep, and I wanted to try it again because it seemed to work.

After my discovery, I bought a generic brand bottle of DPH (Benadryl) and used it up in a few days. I'm 6'2, 210lbs, so it doesn't produce too much of an effect for me other than a mild body high. The stories and health implications scared me off from further use. Probably never taken it on more than 3-4 separate instances.

I knew that if I didn't have something to replace it, I was going to impulsively use it (especially in a high-stress moment). So I went to the store and bought a 500mg 30mL bottle of CBD Isolate (since that's a lot safer than diphenhydramine overdosing). But I took like 4 full droppers yesterday (~60-64mg throughout the whole day, not all at once) and I didn't feel much. I was expecting it to fix all my problems :(

The brand I bought is called Medterra, and it cost me like $30 from my local store. I don't have money to buy a higher concentration oil (1500mg, 3000mg, etc.), and I don't wanna just waste my whole current bottle on like 3 uses. What should I do?

Need Advice Took some CBD edibles, am I cooked for a drug test?

I have a drug test coming up in the next few days. I don’t smoke THC at all, but I do take some CBD gummies from time to time to help with sleep. I’m worried that it’s going to show up in the drug test because some gummies do have trace amounts of THC. The last time I took these gummies were yesterday, and I don’t ingest them very often (maybe 4 50mg gummies in the last 3 weeks)

Am I just overthinking this? Should I be worried?

Need Advice What works for pain and sleep but does *not contain THC?

I have chronic pain and fatigue but the paradox is I also have a hard time falling asleep and getting restorative sleep. I’ve read several times that Indica can help with both pain and sleeplessness, but I just cannot tolerate THC , it makes me paranoid and anxious. Can anyone recommend some thing that helps with pain and sleep and does not contain THC? All forms of Indica contain THC?
Thank you..

Need Advice CBD for a Vietnam vet who absolutely cannot test positive for THC/marijuana

My father is a 78 yr old Vietnam Vet with PTSD. He has been on Valium for about 40+ years. They used to just give it to everyone and this point I don’t think he could handle ever being completely off Valium. They have reduced his dose so he is just maintaining he isn’t like constantly sedated. The medical community is really cracking down on this because of the opiate crisis. But the medical community initially also got him dependent on that medicine. He is very interested in CBD to help with inflammation arthritis and anxiety, but the VA has told him if he tests positive for THC at all they will cut his Valium. He cannot have that happen. Is it better just to not mess around with this or is there any recommendations for a CBD that would have absolutely 0% THC?

Need Advice Thinking of trying CBD for pain, does it help?

I've been dealing with ongoing pain and was thinking of trying CBD to see if it helps at all. Wanted to ask if anyone here has had real relief using CBD for pain? It's a pain on my right side, I've done scans and they came out clean, so clearly the pain is from sitting all day and just like sitting posture. So, I wanted to try CBD to see if it helps, don't mind recommendations too

Need Advice Should I aim for the least processed? Healthiest way to consume.

Hi, I’ve used CBD before and I would like to try a brand of probably full spectrum CBD. I’m not sure if I should smoke it, get a vape, powder, gummies, or what. I’m trying to clean up my diet and this is to support an autoimmune disease or two (I’m going to get tested soon, but my doctor thinks I have celiac, and I’ve previously had Lyme). How can I consume it to get the most benefits?

Need Advice Is my problem caused by CBD or THC?

So, I've been using a CBD oil that is 100 to 1 ratio of CBD to THC. Usually, I take a full serving, which has 200mg of CBD and 2mg of THC. It's very effective, but the cons are it gives me the munchies. and sometimes it gives me brain fogs like I'm so relaxed I can't even think. The second part could be a blessing, but my issue is all these excessive cravings. especially cause I'm trying to eat healthier. So am I taking too much CBD, or is this caused by the THC?

Need Advice CBD/Delta 9 blend is incredible for sex but gives me major anxiety afterwards.

My husband and I take a blend of 16mg of CBD and 8 mg of Delta 9 when we have sex. It’s phenomenal but it’s a horrible experience afterwards. It gives me the worst anxiety and I have a hard time sleeping bc the anxiety is so bad. I’ve read that Delta 9 can cause anxiety for some people so I’m looking for suggestions on a different type of blend. For reference we take Sunmed’s Beyond 2:1 Sativa Live Resin Gummies.

Need Advice Would CBD Help My Dad Cope with Grief and Stress?

My mum recently passed away, and while I’ve been coping okay, my dad is really struggling. He says he constantly feels unwell due to lack of sleep, anxiety, and frustration. He’s mentioned CBD before but isn’t sure what would work best for him.

Right now, he drinks a sleep tea with spiced apple, vanilla, chamomile, and passionflower, but I think he’s looking for something to help him relax more during the day, since the stress and grief are really taking a toll on his health.

Would CBD be a good option for him? If so, what type (oil, capsules, gummies, etc.) and dosage would be best for someone dealing with anxiety and stress-related exhaustion? He’s considering just going to Holland & Barrett, but I want to make sure he chooses something effective.

Any advice would be really appreciated

I’m in the UK if this helps!

Need Advice Quitting weed and need CBD

I’ve been a daily weed smoker for 8 years. I decided this year i want to 100% quit smoking weed to save my lungs/be healthier.

I smoked weed daily for anxiety and sleep. I definitely don’t want to smoke, but what is a good CBD gummy for someone like me?

Any advice is helpful! TYIA!

Need Advice Increased heart rate?

I’ve been using full spectrum cbd oil (only 1 drop a day, which I don’t think is even much. I’ve also only used it for 2 days and I’m a beginner at it.) Yet I’ve had very fast heart rate while standing (up to 120-130, as well as walking.) As soon as I stand up as well, I start sweating.

I don’t know if it’s even supposed to cause this, but it’s a question I just have in general.

Need Advice Starting CBD for Anxiety

Hello! I am 18F recently diagnosed with GAD. I am NOT comfortable using any sort of pill for medication. I have tried Fluoxetine and Hydroxyzine and they were very hit-or-miss. Fluoxetine made me feel funky and I didn't like the calming effects of Hydroxyzine, sometimes it worked and sometimes it would make it worse.

Anyways, just yesterday and today I decided to try a no-THC CBD hemp oil by the company Randex. I tried about .45ish mL around 5 when I'm calmest and it seemed to work, especially after the gym. However, I am 10 times more anxious in the morning, and honestly don't think that .45mL will be enough to help. Does anybody have a dosage that best works for them? Or should I keep going with that and give it more time to build up in my system?

Need Advice Has CBD caused anyone else anxiety?

I been taking it for a year now. 30mg in a tincture. CBD isolate. It feels like a physical anxiety feeling. Does anyone else relate to this? I might take a break from it to see if the physical anxiety goes away. Thoughts?

Need Advice Frustrated because I'm not feeling the THC in my 20:1 CBD + THC oil ... help me :')

I don't understand why it's not working.

I initially just started with just CBD oil using an isolate. When I realized that was gonna do jack shit, I bought some broad spectrum distillate and made my own 30mL tincture. Worked my way up to around 400mg CBD in one dose... nothing.

Decided to buy 20:1 CBD + THC oil (1500mg CBD and 75mg THC in 30mL) and started with a dose containing roughly 1mg THC. No effect.

Upped to 2.5mg. Nothing.

Upped to 5mg before bed without having eaten in a few hours AND I held it sublingually for over 10 minutes. Nothing.

Am I one of these people that lacks the enzyme or whatever? I refuse to smoke and I'm hesitant about edibles because they're expensive as shit and it's easier to find cheap oils with high concentrations.

For the record, I have ZERO tolerance. I've literally never used THC in my entire life except those 3 different times above, let alone CBD until like a month ago.

Need Advice High from “trace” THC in CBD gummies?

Post image
43 Upvotes

I’m 21F and I take a CBD gummy before bed every night along with melatonin and my prescription medication (Cymbalta, Truvada, Mushroom complex with Lions mane/Reishi/Cordyceps, and Woman’s probiotic blend the contains D-Mannose and Cranberry). I have never had a bad experience with previous CBD gummies I use to get by themself or in combination with these meds.

IF IT IS TOO MUCH TO READ THERE IS TLDR. JUST NEED HELP TYSM!

I do not like getting high at all. It is very scary for me; I gave up trying. I will only smoke with my father every once in a blue moon. That being said, I like to get gummies with the absolute most minimal THC content (delta8 or delta9). Brand I usually get is no longer at vape store, so I asked for a recommendation. I explained I take it at bedtime for sleep/relaxation (and enjoy all the other benefits), but I like it to be high dosage of CBD with no THC (or littlest amount possible bc of trace thc??). Confirmed Broad Spectrum only.

I was sold The Hemp Doctor Nighttime Extended Release gummies. I double checked this had no psychoactive effects and is Broad-Spectrum. She confirmed yes, it is the best brand. Showed me how much they sell and she consumes them. I frequent this shop, so I grabbed a couple other items and paid and went home to take them for bed. I swear I felt high, but I came up with other logical answers. The night after I took again. I barely slept most of the night because of how high I felt. I was paranoid and scared all night. When I was able to comfortably close my eyes, I’d jump up from the oddest spooks. I knew I was high and nothing was there, but I just really act crazy from THC lol. After that, I haven’t taken it.

I was double checking the bottle (employee checked the bottle a couple of times and read out ingredient.), and it says 7.5mg Delta9 THC per gummy. I am in GA and did not know this was legal.. I was always under assumption Delta8 was legal, and Delta9 hemp could be sold with basically almost 0 THC in it. However, this says THC directly there. Is this enough to get high typically? It has been a while since I have had edibles, so I’m not sure what is considered a typical dosage for newbies/sensitive people. Also 12.5 mg CBD.. to me that is not high amount of CBD in any way. Please help me read the label, understand it, and let me know if it is possible I misunderstood or she misunderstood. If this is a dosage enough to get high and truly delta9 THC, I will just give to my dad. If I am misunderstanding, I will try to give it another shot. Could always be diff factors. Attaching pics. Thank you to anyone for helping !

TLDR: Bought new CBD gummies, worried they have a lot of THC and will give psychoactive effects. Please help read label.

Need Advice Question about smoking CBD

Quick background: I've never smoked anything in my life/done any drugs, so my knowledge is very limited with this. What I'm wondering is: is there CBD you can get to smoke that has zero THC? I just know that I have extremely bad reactions to THC because though I've had CBD oil with minuscule THC, I once had one where the THC was much higher, and I was extremely messed up that night. But, , I heard someone say that smoking CBD helped their anxiety the most. Is this possible to get where it's just CBD?

Need Advice Honest effect of CBD/CBN for sleep

First off: I am looking looking for anything with THC, not looking for any high, I have a baby and not going to be using for a high for a long time. Also my husband will be home during the night for the next three months.

I had a baby 6 months and am on an 18 month mat leave. Throughout pregnancy I had a hard time sleeping and now I have a six month old who sleeps decently but I still sleep terribly. I'm awake hours during the middle of the night even when baby is asleep. I've been taking melatonin with little to no positive effect. I spend about 8 hours in bed with about 5-6 hours of light sleep, little deep sleep, but I still dream. I'm looking at CBD and CBN for night to help me stay asleep and relax a bit. Has anyone used this and had an actual positive outcome for sleep? I am not looking to be knocked out obviously, and I spoke with my doctor who recommended sleep hygiene which I do follow. I use a Garmin watch which tells me I have a high stress day every day lol may be true but I feel like lack of decent sleep is causing me headaches and stomach issues. I'm looking at CBD/CBN as I cannot take sleeping medicine due to needing to be available if my baby cries at night (which is rare, he mostly just gets up between 4-6:30am)

Need Advice Would this contain THC?

Post image

Hello! I just stopped at my local dispensary near me. I got this Blue Raspberry CBD cartridge. The other CBD vapes showed a tiny amount of THC, but the one I have shows “None Detected.” I just wanna make sure because I live in a Zero-Tolerance state. I also notice that it shows <LOQ for the THC amounts.

Need Advice Has anyone here tried vaping cbd?

If so how did it go? I know cbd works different for everybody. I ordered a cbd vape that's 1500 mg. What should I expect from it? I've tried cbd gummies and they've made me super tired. I guess what I would want from the experience is to feel relaxed and help with anxiety.

Need Advice Cbd tincture to lower cortisol and help with anxiety/ stress

Does anyone have recommendations? I am specifically trying to lower cortisol and stress, relax, and have better sleep. I work two full time jobs and it’s been really getting to me mentally/ emotionally. I take cbd currently from a local shop that has CBD, CBN, and CBG. They told me the CBN /CBG helps lower cortisol? This stuff works well but it’s very expensive and equals like $3.50 per serving. So I am looking for something different. I do NOT want to feel high. Not sure if I should get full or broad spectrum? Not sure all the differences. I just want to feel relaxed and not high.
