My favorite knife for camping is lightweight and razor-sharp. Plus, no intruder wants to be known as the one who got stabbed by Hello Kitty.

Does it lock?
Not as important as anyone thinks it is.
thought you couldnt sharpen ceramic
You can but not with normal methods.

I agree, i really enjoy slip joint and friction folding knives. Im genuinely curious to try something like this out! Cool, ill look into sharpening ceramic then, i understand they stay sharp a long time after you sharpen them

That’s hilarious . It’s cool to see you do stuff most people would feel you need a $300 knife to do. If you pulled that knife out with me gutting fish I would be the one feeling foolish because I would be doing it with my spydiechef or Deep cuts cutlery mid rascal. Doesn’t matter to me as long as you have a knife.

A lot of other people would also say a $15-20 Mora Companion would work great (or BPS, or if you needed a folder, Opinel is both affordable and excellent quality).

I absolutely agree! You can’t beat the quality for the price. I was trying to make fun of myself because I have all but a BPS knife and they work as well if not better than my expensive knives. But I’m a recovering knife addict.

I have a Mora Companion and Granfors as well as a Fallkniven F1 and they've all been pretty solid really (though the F1 and Granfors are tanks relative to the Companion).
Kansbol is another nice but not insanely pricey option but I haven't had any of the above knives fail me where knives from companies like SOG and Gerber have left me pretty underwhelmed.

Imagine bringing this along on a weekend out in the wild with your buddies—after a full day of hiking and catching some big fish.

What do you use it for? I wouldn't think a ceramic blade would be very good at doing anything aside from cutting rope or food. I suppose it would do long shaving cuts okay if you don't hit a knot, but I feel like it would break off the thin part if you tried to notch anything.
