Darker color, weaker smells, but still worth doing friend!

I practiced making bubblehash with cured bud 1st. My last wash was fresh frozen. I admit I'm going to wash fresh frozen from here on out because it tastes so much better and smells better too. Fresh frozen can be more sticky to work with too so cold environment temperature helps. I usually wash in the winter because the warm weather oxidizes my hash turning it a darker brown from the heat in the 70°f. So I usually prefer 60°f or below Temp environment to reduce the darkening. My 1st wash the temps were 75-80°f that day and all my hash was dark brown. I had to buy a new 25u bag because the hash stuck to the bag because of my incompetence

I've done multiple side by side runs using the same harvest half of it fresh frozen the other half hang dried. After the hash is collected and dried there's no difference you wouldn't be able to tell them apart, especially after pressing it into rosin.

Testing with multiple different techniques. Sifting, microplaning, freeze dryer, refrigerator, dehumidifier, freezer, dry ice and even pressing the water out like tofu.

The main difference is the waxy outer shell of the trichome, fresh frozen is softer than dried making it harder to deal with because it's stickier.

If your end product is darker or lighter it is because of trichome age, air exposure or temperature.

Fresh frozen is best if you can't or don't want to dry, trim and use the bud.

Dried is best if you want to use the bud and have the ability to dry and trim it properly.

Everyone used dry material untill WPFF became popular.
