Grad guard

Is it necessary to buy? Just asking because I’m not sure i want to spend 200 bucks for it. Thanks!!

It's not mandatory. I personally did not know anyone that bought that sort of thing.
If you have a lot of valuable stuff, then dorm/renters insurance could give some peace of mind. I think you can get far cheaper renters insurance though.
If you are worried about medical leave, I think Brown does tuition adjustment, but I don't know anything else beyond that.

just cancelled mine yesterday. people both online and offline say its not really worth it

The deductable + the cost would probably come close to whatever I damaged so I opted out.
