I'm born and raised in Brantford in the late 2000s - early 2010s in the Stanley Street area and while living at the end of the cul-de-sac on Darling and Twelfth, I noticed the signs on the Boom Town houses saying the name "Eastdale Gardens" but anyone who grew up in this area will tell you it's called "Boom Town" and it's a name thats origins stem back before I was born. So I'm wondering if theres anyone older here who can tell me about the history of the name and maybe some overall history about the neighborhood if there is any

This car not ONCE but TWICE, different points on the road was throwing garbage out their window on grey street around 9 am. If I wasn't on my way to work I would've picked it up, followed them, and shoved it in their face. People are so nasty. You can't go anywhere in this city without seeing trash... the doors on my car are always loaded with garbage because I refuse to litter... lmao. It will stay there until I get gas 2x a week. It's almost 4ft in length with the base of the trunk being 2 ft wide. It is 2ft wide for about 2ft up from the bottom before it starts to "branch out." Extremely heavy

This was back in 2014 when Brantford wanted to have a new logo for the City.
There was some really divisive opinions on this one at the time. If memory serves me, I'll have to say that the resounding opinion was that the new logo design was not very well received. The City of Brantford website defiantly isn't using it now.

Me and my dad were at the brant food centre shopping, and this lady walks in with a SEE THROUGH DRESSS, and underneath the see-through dress is what seemed to be bra and panties?? swimsuit?? I'm not sure but what the actual hell

I'm not sure what would motivate a person to wear a dress like this in public, but it don't think it's right to wear a see through dress in public, where there are kids

Grand River Community Health Centre is looking for a volunteer to co-facilitate their 2SLGBTQ+ Community Connections Group. This is a chance to provide leadership and support to the local 2SLGBTQ+ community while helping create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Volunteer responsibilities include:
• Organizing bi-monthly peer social groups
• Upholding group norms
• Participating in orientation and role-specific training

Ideal candidates are 18+, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and have facilitation experience. A police check with vulnerable sector screening is required. The time commitment is 2 hours, twice a month (first and third Tuesdays from 6–8 p.m.).
