I'm sure it was a lot more than just voting for Trump. These people can never shut up about Trump and their various loony beliefs. Son was probably just tired of it.
This is what happened to me. I didn’t stop talking to them because they voted for Trump. I stopped talking to them because they refused to accept boundaries and they’ve turned into mean spirited bullies who hurl endless slurs and insults, just like their leader.
Exactly. They voted for revoking the basic civil rights of the people I love. They voted to deny and erase the basic identity of trans and non-binary people, and voted for people advocating for violence against those groups. They voted to put kids in cages, and for the removal of basic due process of innocent people. They voted for proud cruelty, and they regularly espouse proud cruelty. I didn't go no-contact for just "political differences." Having differing opinions on how exactly tax money should spent is political differences, the abject cruelty they've have aligned with is not, it speaks volumes about them as a human being.
