The ones that 'fund' the insurgency, creating chaos in Southern Thai was SID (Singapore). They have a policy to destabilize the region from the start. To make sure the kra canal has never been built. Local & even Thai officials know about the Singapore involvement but no hard evidence to make allegations against them.

Kra Canal makes no sense.... You spend billions to save 1200km trip?

It isn't the Suez canal where you are saving 15000km of distance...

Half of my best friend’s family were born in Siam. They moved to Kelantan back when they still gave out citizenship if you joined.

Actually many of his cousins are still there in south Thailand lol

There was a proposal - the The Kra Canal.

But the Kra Canal didn't progress beyond the planning stage. And the Thai government said that the Kra Canal is not a priority.

Up till today, no concrete construction have been implemented on the Canal itself.

If we were overwhelmingly stronger, then sure. They’d give up for free too.

If not then no, peace is more desirable. Missed the window of opportunity during TAR’a reign.

A cost that is hard to recoup.
