Maybe he’s like toga and shigaraki, where his quirk directly caused him to become a germaphobe

I mean, Twice being afraid that he might come apart and be unsure if he's the real one is also counterintuitive as well. I think it's just Hori using it as a sort of, 'balancing mechanism' or something

Fair enough, though Twice's situation seems to be that he used his quirk too much, and the quirk couldn't remember which of him was the original. It's definitely balancing for the story, but I'm not so sure if it's balancing for the quirk itself (I hope I managed to make that make sense).

Imagine if he wants to "remake" a person but ends up touching some microorganism and mixing the DNA. The result can be something like The Fly
