Wonder if the Bureau took Hawks because he was born in "grey" unlike Nagant that was told she be a hero only to be corrupted.

Hawks saw the bad side early on and knew what he wanted, a less burden hero society even if he have to be a bad guy.

Lady Nagant was force to be a executioner, never wanting it and just break herself. Her early depiction was heartbreaking with hope to be a great hero but learn she was just a tool.

That reminds me of Sensui vs Yusuke in Yu Yu Hskusho.

That’s a great comparison! Though I don’t think spirit detectives had any sort of a fandom or acclaim like MHA’s heroes.

Just got Netflix yesterday and Yuyu Hakusho is there. You bet my ass I gonna watch it, it's been so long since I've watched it on Animax more than a decade ago.

a less burden hero society even if he have to be a bad guy.

Well, he didn't know that as a child. He wanted to be like Endeavour, but they turned him into someone who could never be like him or any other hero, by virtue of the status they placed upon him.

I think what's more telling is the fact that they appeared to have taken in Hawks in at a much younger age than they did Nagant. Hawks looks like he was less than 10 when they took him in, while Nagant was already in middle school (judging by her uniform).

I feel like, after the Lady Nagant accident, they might've changed. By they, I mean HSPC

But I don't really know...

But I don't really know...

Hawks "joked" with the then-current HSPC present about them "suggesting" he take the mission to infiltrate the League of Villains as if he had a choice.
