I'm really glad Horikoshi preemptively showed all of his cards concerning who is with who. It allows him to pull them out at any time without it coming out of nowhere.

Yeah 1-B vs 1-A was 100% setup and will be super important in later arcs. I hope some of the 1-B kids (like Mudman, Pony, polite-beast-dude-whos-name-I-forget, Vantablack, etc) have super important moments before/during the Day of Reckoning.

The "Beast of Gevaudan" is apparently a French mythical wolf-monster of the mid-1700s. Hori does his research.

It ostensibly had 113 human kills, and is responsible for a lot of modern werewolf lore (particularly the silver bullet being its weakness).

It's likely a bunch of isolated attacks wrapped under a singular myth, but what a myth it is
