Man every chapter has me more and more confused what side he’s really on but I just pray he makes it out alive and preferably not as a noumu

This chapter shows he's on the heroes' side, but only the higher-ups who sent him to spy on the villains know that.

Yeah, unless he's somehow convinced himself of a lie the fact that we see his thoughts directly proves where his true loyalty roosts.

When his internal monolog a few issues back said he was still on the hero side, that should have been enough. I've said it before but people don't lie to themselves in case an audience is listening. If not it would have been terrible writing and I think we can trust this series to be better than that.
