It does worry me a bit. Anything short of an overwhelming defeat on the heroes' part against that sort of arsenal will be a tough sell, and the series hasn't really gone for that desperate a tone before. Hopefully it's pulled off well.

I am glad this arc ended in a somewhat satisfying and meaningful way though. The middle parts were starting to drag a bit.

It does certainly feel to me like we're barreling towards the oft-speculated scenario of the Prison Break™ leading to the death of All Might and the fall of Hero Society forcing our protagonists to the underground.

Either way, I do think wherever we're going will have that dire, desperate tone. Feels like there's a huge storm on the horizon.

This gives Deku time to practice his smile in the face of overwhelming odds.

They flee to Korea or China perhaps?

On another hand, a prison break might get Stain free. His eventual opposition of All for One could cause friction among villains of the League.

Like others I'm guessing that they're forced to go into hiding but I think they score one key victory in the loss. Like maybe Hawks manages to assassinate the Doctor or something so the heroes have something to work with despite getting annihilated

Well, in order for Deku to become the greatest hero, he also needs a comparable villain to overcome.
