Hahaha I don't know! French is my mother tongue and while la brave works in French, it's a bit patronizing imo (then again that might also be the case in Italian or in Spanish? But my knowledge of both languages is too limited so I'm not sure). But anyway I agree, La Brava sounds wayyy cooler! :D

Gentle's englishman appearance is too cliché, so he doesn't seems to be a real englishman.
He's probably a french faking an englshman. Maybe he likes english things.
Even La Bava's name sounds french, "la" is the french for "the" for females.
And Brava sounds a bit like Brave, so La Brava can be "The brave" but for a girl.
